Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Our wedding is a formal affair! If you need help deciding what to wear: Men, a suit and tie is appropriate. Women, a cocktail, mid or floor-length dress would be appropriate. We are so excited to celebrate together!

Question

Is this an indoor or outdoor affair?

Answer

The ceremony will be inside as well as the reception! The Arts District Mansion has beautiful outdoor spaces to enjoy during cocktail hour and the reception.

Question

Where do I park at the church?

Answer

At HPPC, you can park on the ground level lot, the parking garage underneath the building, or available street parking. If you park in the garage, take the elevator up to the main level where you will be greeted by an usher who will point you in the right direction. The main entrance to the sanctuary faces University street.

Question

Where do I park at the Arts District Mansion?

Answer

Parking is in the covered garage on the back side of the Mansion! Enter through Flora street, where you will park, and then take an elevator directly into the Mansion and will be directed to cocktail hour.

Question

What time does the wedding start and end?

Answer

The Ceremony begins at 5:30 P.M. , but we kindly ask you arrive no later than 5:00 P.M. so there are no interruptions. The newlyweds will be sent off from the reception at 11:30 P.M.!

Question

Will there be alcohol served?

Answer

Yes, during the cocktail hour and reception. Please arrange for rides after the reception if you plan to drink!

Question

Can I RSVP online?

Answer

No, please RSVP by mailing the RSVP card!

Question

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

While Texas weather often has a mind of its own, the average temperatures for the end of October are typically ranging from the low 80s to the mid-40s, averaging in the 60s. We would suggest dressing ( and hoping ) for fall weather and bringing a jacket for the end of the night.

Question

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.
