Going-to-the-Sun Road
The picture above is us on Going-to-the-Sun Road. This should be on everyone's a bucket list! The drive is absolutely breathtaking with some of the best views you'll ever see. Once inside the West Entrance of Glacier National Park, you can drive up this road with many opportunities to pull out and see the views or go for a hike. Pack your bear spray!
Whitefish Mountain Resort
Whitefish Resort offers a beautiful gondola ride with views of the entire Flathead Valley at the top. There are several dining, lodging, hiking and biking opportunities here.
Avalanche Lake
Avalanche Lake is a 4 mile round trip hike just within the West Entrance of Glacier National Park and at the base of Going-to-the-Sun Road. One of our all-time favorites!
Whitefish Lake
If you are staying in Whitefish, you can visit the lake that is on the northwest end of town. City Beach is a public beach with lakefront access. There are kayak and paddle board rental businesses in town.
