It was the summer of 2017, and Calleigh and Josiah both attended a week at summer camp. Josiah, 15, and Calleigh, 14. When Josiah first saw Calleigh, he thought, "This is the girl I'm going to marry." (He really did). It took Calleigh a few years to realize this as well. They were friends for two summers before they didn't speak to each other again. 6 years passed, but they thought about each other. In July of 2025, they reconnected. Their first date consisted of deep theological questions, laughs, and Josiah's poor date attire. (Purple basketball shorts and a red t-shirt, by the way) It was on that date that Calleigh realized Josiah would one day be her husband. This is just a fraction of the story. God had been orchestrating so much over the last 8 years of meeting one another. He is the Author of this story. Proverbs 16:9 says, "The heart of man plans his way, but the LORD establishes his steps."
