Things To Do

Here are some of our favorite places to grab a bite to eat, get coffee, have a couple of drinks or explore!

LeadBelly

301 North 8th Street, Lincoln, NE 68508
, (402) 261-8849

You can't go wrong with anything on their menu, but especially their burgers or poutine! Brandon recommends the Key West. Amanda's favorite is the Raspberry Beret.

Buzzard Billy's

247 North 8th Street, Lincoln, NE 68508
, (402) 475-8822

It may not be the most authentic Cajun flavor but they do have good food a large menu that anyone can find something they like. Amanda highly recommends the gator fingers or classic fettuccine alfredeaux. It's always hard for Brandon to choose but he highly recommends the jambalaya and the cajun cowboy burger.

Honest Abe's Burgers & Freedom

126 North 14th Street, Lincoln, NE 68508
, (402) 261-4904

Also another great burger place in Lincoln. Their menu is always rotating and those are always great. Amanda's favorite classic burger is the 1809. Brandon enjoys the Fireside.

Blue Sushi Sake Grill

808 R Street, Lincoln, NE 68508
, (402) 805-4232

Amanda knows that sushi in Nebraska doesn't sound too hot, but this is the best sushi place in town. Even if you're not too keen on fish, the sake and specialty cocktails are outstanding. P.S. It's right across the street from the hotel block

C Berry's

1422 O Street, Lincoln, NE 68508
, (402) 476-8851

Still hungry after the reception? C Berry's has some of the best... well... "had a few too many drinks" food that you can grab at 2 AM. Amanda highly recommends the BBQ Nachos. Brandon recommends the jalapeno mac n' cheese.

The Hub Cafe

250 North 21st Street, Lincoln, NE 68503
, (402) 474-2453

Not feeling too great on Sunday morning after the reception? The Hub Cafe has some of Amanda's favorite breakfast in town. It's also a farm-to-table restaurant that focuses on sustainability!

Bánhwich Café

940 North 26th Street, Lincoln, NE 68503
, (402) 261-4655

This is definitely one of Amanda's favorite places to eat. If you love bahn mi's, this is the place for you... even if you don't know what a bahn mi is, Amanda highly recommends this place!

Bison Witches Bar & Deli

1320 P Street, Lincoln, NE 68508

Looking for a light lunch? Check out Bison Witches for their sandwiches. This is one of Brandon's favorites for hanging out with friends and getting work done.

The Coffee House

A great local coffee place with plenty of seating for you to check those work emails or wake up with a good book.

VS ARCADE BAR

247 North 8th Street, Lincoln, NE 68508

Starlite Lounge & Banquet Room

247 North 8th Street, Lincoln, NE 68508
, (402) 475-8822

If you like specialty cocktails, this is the place for you. You'll go back in time in this retro bar.

Occidental

735 O Street, Lincoln, NE 68508
, (531) 500-4817

This bar is tucked away in an alley so well that even most locals don't know about this place.

Jake's Cigars & Spirits

101 North 14th Street, Lincoln, NE 68508
, (402) 261-5944

A classic hangout that offers a smoking and non-smoking section that meets your preference. Brandon recommends grabbing a cigar and pairing it with an IPA or an old fashioned.

Lincoln Children's Museum

1420 P Street, Lincoln, NE 68508
, (402) 477-4000

Obviously, a great place to go if you have young kids!

Nebraska State Capitol

1445 K Street, Lincoln, NE 68508
, (402) 471-0448

If you know Brandon, you know that he worked in the Nebraska State Capitol. But the capitol is actually one of the most beautiful pieces of architecture in the state (probably). Seriously, if you haven't been here, check it out.

Nebraska History Museum

131 Centennial Mall North, Lincoln, NE 68508
, (402) 471-4782

A great place to learn about Nebraska's history.

Pioneers Park Nature Center

3201 South Coddington, Lincoln, NE 68522
, (402) 441-7895

Amanda goes on a lot of walks here with one of her bridesmaids, Maggie. This is a huge beautiful park with lots of trails, a prairie, a golf course, and most importantly bison.

Lincoln Children's Zoo

1222 South 27th Street, Lincoln, NE 68502
, (402) 475-6741

While it's not Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha, there are lots of new exhibits for the family to enjoy.

University of Nebraska State Museum - Morrill Hall

645 North 14th Street, Lincoln, NE 68588
, (402) 472-2637

If you love dinosaurs and Nebraska history, this is always a great place to visit.
