Crested Butte is at 9,000 Feet in Elevation!

Answer

We recommend elderly or altitude sick prone guests ask their doctor for Diamox to avoid altitude sickness. It also helps to arrive early to acclimate with the altitude to prevent altitude sickness and as always, HYDRATE!

How far is Crested Butte from Denver and what is the best route to take?

We recommend that guests take Cottonwood Pass. This makes the drive about 4 hours from DIA to Crested Butte. Cottonwood pass is one of the most scenic passes in the world and is easily passible with any type of vehicle

What attire is required?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Ladies should wear cocktail dresses, and the gentlemen should wear a suit and tie or a sports coat.

What is the weather like in September?

Answer

It could be blizzarding or it could be 75 degrees and sunny. We recommend at least packing warm clothes for the evening time.

Can we park at the ceremony venue?

Answer

There is very limited parking at the ceremony venue. The ceremony site is 1 mile up the street from the lodge. PLEASE CARPOOL as there is only about 30 spots at the ceremony venue.

What is recommended for lodging?

Answer

We recommend guests stay at the Lodge at Mountaineer Square (where the reception is held) or at the Grand Lodge which is right next door. There is a discount code for both under the "Travel" section.
