The Bert to my Ernie, the Cloaker to my Floaker... Sue is my (OLDER, heh) Seeeeester and an inspiration, a spiritual guide, and the most loyal friend a person could ever hope to have. Sue's light shines bright, and her belief in the goodness of life... even when it is hard... is a gift for all those lucky enough to know her. She keeps me laughing, crying, striving, moving, and believing in a way I can never fully thank her for. And even though she's stubborn, she still forgave her lil' sis (me) for cutting her gorgeous, long hair off while she slept because I thought it was like my dolly's and I could pull it and it would grow back (sorry, Cloaker!) If sisters can make it through that, they can make it through anything, and with Sue-- I know we always will.

BabyToid, BToid, the lil' Sis I never had... Lorianne and I first met working together on the best team ever (thanks, Mama Gail!) at The Music Hall in Portsmouth, NH. The ying to my yang (and vice versa), we are def a solid example of opposites attracting, but are spot-on the same when it comes to the best things in life, like long chats, lake livin', lots of laughs, and furbaby love! I love that she'll hate me saying mushy things about her, but she embodies what it means to be a true friend. Relentless in her advocacy for any friend's happiness and well-being, she takes care of the hearts of those in her tribe, and I'm forever grateful to call her my friend, my lil' sis, my family.

Peeeeeyyyyeter, The Smart One... Pete and I got to know each other sitting a mere 4 feet away from each other on the reg while working on the best team ever (again, thanks Mama Gail!) at The Music Hall. Pete's open heart and voice-of-reason nature have helped guide me more than he knows (well, maybe he does indeed know) and I'm so grateful to know this beautiful human who knows equally well how to bring me to tears with laughter AND with thoughtfulness.

Pobby, POBZ... Pauline and I instantly clicked when she interviewed me for a freelance position at an ad agency in San Francisco. Needless to say, I got the job, and also got a new, dear friend who quickly defined for me- by example- what it means to be a member of the Inner Core. I can't wait for y'all to hear her laugh... it fills a room with joy and is one of the reasons I fell in love with this stunning human. She wears her heart outside of herself and is that person who will be there at a moment's notice, no matter how long it has been since last we talked. Pobz is always "on board"... she lives a "yes, and..." life and helps remind me how much richer life can be when I do so, too.

BeckyRu, My Juno's Swan... Becky and I first met through the theatre scene on the Seacoast and through years of chats in dressing rooms, in empty (or full!) theaters, or on the dock at the 'Topes or the grass at Prescott Park, our friendship bloomed into one that is tender and true. She is 100% genuine 100% of the time, a quality I admire in her more than she knows, and her kindness shines on and wraps in love all those who know her.

Katie Mac, Kates... When I first met Katie while still at UNH, I had no idea that my friend Timmy's little sister would eventually become so woven into my life and heart. Our sister-like friendship developed living next door to each other on Austin Street in Portsmouth, with super-fun family dinners, downtown Portsmouth shenanigans, and Sex & the City marathons over Double-Stuff Oreos and bad chardonnay. Katie leads with love in all things. Her devotion to family (both blood and the family we create) is inspirational, and when you're around her, you only wish for one thing... more Time together.

In typing this, I realize that Ashley is the one CPeep that I don't have a nickname for, and I absolutely love that because it suits her perfectly-- Ashley is her beautiful self, a steadfast & eager friend through and through. She and I met through Daniel and her partner Tim, and what began as a casual friendship through our partners grew into an authentic, treasured connection between the two of us. One of the best things about my move to NYC has been getting the chance to be neighbors with Ashley and sharing Time together full of furbaby lovin', buckets of laughter and dreamin' our dreams. When Ashley asks "how are you?"- she is one of the very few people whom I know truly means it, and her sincerity and authenticity are an inspiration.

Tim- “Teem”- Teem & I go back to three years old. We’ve been through everything together. Mi piedra. From late nights cookin up whatever we could find, to both “dating” Kelly Kapowski (from Saved by the Bell); From living 7 blocks apart in Hampton to living together in Newmarket to now living a minute apart in Brooklyn, Tim is never far away and will be there for the good times and the bad at the drop of a hat. A consummate friend and someone who makes navigating this world endlessly better Tim is the kind of person no one deserves but anyone would be exceedingly Blessed to know.

Kevin- “Keven”- I met Kev the way one would expect- we got paired up playing a card game at a UNH party and realized without talking about it that we were both grifting our opponents. We became fast friends and in the fifteen years of friendship have fostered a company, co-hosted a podcast together, grown to mutually hate the coffeeshop across the street from where we lived together for five years and carried each other home on countless occasions. Kev is not only someone I cherish in my life, but the kind of friend I deeply admire and am inspired by for a myriad of reasons.

Eric- “Donk” Eric D. Dufour (of Sage Point Financial) is a guy I’ve known for decades but really grew to know and love in the days after college. A commonality that we bonded over is Stunning Parents. Both our mum’s will be joinin us on the big day from VIP seating in the sky, but their effect on our lives has helped shape us into who we are today. Don’t throw him a curveball. Something I deeply respect about Dufe is the structure he lives inside of and the structure he brings to any group he’s in. He’s a fourth dimensional player in the chess game of life who is almost always three or more steps ahead of the pack.
Starting 9
Andy- “Ghakin” I’ve known Andy almost all of his life and is another friend I draw great inspiration from. He is a rock solid dude who knows what he wants and how to get it. When many of us were sitting in backyards around fireplaces and dippin in the pool, Andy was in bootcamps, Air Force bases around the country and doing the hard stuff I shudder to think about. He’s a versatile starting wiffleball pitcher who occasionally throws a flat fastball that gets taken for a ride. A brother in the truest sense, his hospitality and generosity of spirit are unparalleled, matched only by his steadfast Love of and Loyalty to Family.

Dylan- (dk)- I met Dylan as I was reemerging into the world of theater at a Shakespeare group that met up on Tuesday nights in Manhattan. In the midst of actors trying to work out audition monologues, dk crossed my path doing provocative explorations of text that challenged the audience gathered in a way that confused most but immediately endeared me to this True Artist, who brings so much of his Selfe to the work that he creates. That instant respect grew to the realization we also shared a passion for throwin down in the kitchen, whisky (and whiskey and whiskyyyy), Honesty and Integrity. A fellow “Dirtwolf”, dk sees through right into some of the darker parts of the soul and is right there by my side regardless. For that and so much more, Endless Love.

CJ- “Ceej” Ceej & I met at UNH and immediately bonded over a passion for provocative theater and the Boston Red Sox. CJ is the only other person to have lived at 91 Leavitt with Daddio after mum moved on and for that I will forever hold CJ in the innermost part of my heart. Late nights recording reggae covers of popular tunes, sobbing through old heart breaks and Gordon Ramsey binges highlight that period. I’ve always been stunned by (and envious of, if we’re being honest) CJ’s unbelievable musicianship and Artistry. Almost every project I have worked on that I’m most proud of has CJ’s stamp on it in some way.

Bri- “Bahree” I met Bri on the bus to our first day at St. Thomas Aquinas. We immediately formed a bond that would get us through that fascinating and terrifying phase of life known as “high school”. Bri became my “otherhalf” and nights would frequently be spent at each other’s house. She endured my dad’s crush and savored m’mums Chick’n’Broccoli (a staple on nights Bri was over). Years have passed with each other sending simple “Yes or No” texts to each other in moments of crisis or decision. For the deep Soul connection, the Companionship through years of growth and the constant Flame of Friendship that burns in m’heart, I will always hold Bri close as one of my dearest friends.

Derek- “D-Rock” Derek is a Quintessential Kindred Spirit. We met at Sacred Heart, went to STA together and have been simpatico ever since. Despite the time that Derek convinced me to climb up into the little nook above his door and then removed the ladder, Derek is a Lifetime Friend. We bonded over a Love of Words. He has the Poet’s soul and has an incredible knack for storytelling. (I HIGHLY recommend you check out his debut novel The Mortifications). When Life thrusts us back together there is always lots of laughter, a respectable amount of bourbon and often a fine cigar. With the spot in my heart Derek holds, no amount of distance between us keeps him farther away than a twinkle of th’Eye.

Zack- “Sock”- I meannn…despite both matriculating at THE University of New Hampshire, I didn’t meet Zackarius until we both were working at The Brooklyn Diner in Times Square. I met Zack in a period of my life where I was taking a three year hiatus from doing theater, rediscovering who I was/wanted to be and Zack was absolutely integral in that process. We spent hours at music festivals, chillin up in Washington Heights watching Dave Matthews videos until 4 am or over in Jersey golfing, getting bagels or mowing down on Ben & Jerry’s. Zack has an unparalleled work ethic and selflessness that is truly rare to find. He exemplifies every single part of the Hospitality Industry that is admirable and that makes me proud to work in that industry.
