How We Met

May 2014

We met at the 2014 Classic Bowl football game, I was a Freshman in High School and he was a Sophomore. I was with my friends and he was with his, a friend of his that I knew introduced us and since that day we have talked almost every day. Can't imagine my life without him and hope I never have to!

Abbie Lou

October 2017

Oh, Abbie Lou - this girl changed our lives for the absolute best! One random week day in October I found a doberman on facebook (Nate was obsessed with the breed), and within two hours I was on my way to get her. We had no where to keep her and we were not prepared whatsoever. But man, God worked it out to be one of the best decisions we ever made! Abbie is the loyalest, most protective, prettiest, sweetest baby you will ever meet!

Arie Mae

January 2019

We found Arie on craigslist when she was just two weeks old. She was in the worst situation and we felt like we had to save her! Two weeks later we were bringing her home and Abbie was definitely not happy with us. But now they are the best of friends. Arie is the craziest, sweetest, and biggest spaz you will ever meet!

Moving In

December 2017

After my first semester of college, we both realized we did not want to live in small town Alva. At this time, we decided to go the (definitely) untraditional route and move to the OKC metro area together. We got a small apartment with Abbie in El Reno, OK! In January of 2019, we got our second apartment closer to OKC. This is where we brought Arie home to! After COVID hit, we both lost our jobs and decided not to renew our lease and move back to Woodward for the summer. In July of 2020, we ended up getting our first rent house in Edmond and have lived here ever since! We are so happy where we are and with our current lives!

The Engagement

December 15, 2021

A random Wednesday after work, I was cooking dinner and Nathaniel comes up to me and said "I made reservations for The Melting Pot for dessert, you should get ready and we will go after dinner." It was very suspicious and I wasn't certain what was happening - but I definitely had an idea. After dessert, he took me to Scissortail Park in Bricktown. The rest is history and my brain doesn't remember many details because I was just so excited. I only called two people that night, one of them being my sister - Laynee! Everyone else, we were able to tell that Friday in person or on FaceTime. It was so special! The best day of our lives thus far - can't wait to change that day to September 10th, 2022!
