We met at our mutual friend’s birthday party going on seven years ago! I know it’s a cliche, but it was kind of love at first sight. Either that, or it was the Mamajuana Dominican Rum! Whatever the case may be...we have been together ever since!
Couldn’t have been any more perfect! Michael planned a trip to Jamaica to celebrate my 30th Birthday. The night of my birthday (which is also Valentines Day), Michael planned a romantic candlelight dinner for us on the beach. I was totally clueless to what he had up his sleeve. Or should I say in his POCKET! On our walk to dinner we were holding hands and I noticed his hands were so clammy! I was going to make a joke saying “Why are you’re hands so clammy? You’re going to propose to me or something?” But for some reason I didn’t. And good thing I didn't, because I would’ve ruined the beautiful proposal he had worked so hard perfecting! We walked to the beach and there it was!! The rose petal covered, candlelight flickering, white lights surrounding, dinner for two, on the soft white sand. We sat down and I guess he couldn’t take the pressure any longer...and down goes Michael on one knee. Professing his love and asking for my hand in marriage! I was beyond shocked. I said “Yes! Yes! Yes!” And there in the background was the photographer capturing every moment. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.
Since we began talking about marriage, even before the best proposal ever, we always agreed we would want a destination wedding. We always pictured how great it would be to go away with both of our families and enjoy an amazing vacation together! This is the time when two families become one. On 8/24/2019, the Tuzzolino’s and the Loukas’ become one family! Over this wedding weekend we hope that both families get to know one another and enjoy each other’s company! Whether you like it or not...you’re stuck with each other! One more personal reason for getting married on the beach is the sound of the waves. I don’t know what it is, but I feel closest to my father and all my lost loved ones on the beach listening to the waves. I have had many deep, peaceful, and meaningful conversations with my lost loved ones just sitting at the beach listening to the sounds. Have you ever just sat on the sand, closed your eyes, and listen to the relaxing sound of the ocean? If not, this wedding weekend will be your chance to do it! It is one of the most calming sounds one can hear.
