Wedding Party

The Wedding Website of Cali Boudreaux and Jacob DeLaughter

Ella Treitler

Maid of Honor

Ella and I met through Lionettes. She was a freshman on the team, and the only freshman that I felt I hadn’t connected with. That was until UDA college nationals where I gave her the infamous, genius, nickname of all nicknames, Smella. She never smelt, but somehow the name stuck and began many other variations such as Smelly, Smellarella, Stinky, and many more. She quickly became my best friend as we navigated the life of being college students that love the Lord. Joining FCA and becoming leaders was the start of many of our journeys. We love to try new things and travel to different places together. She’s taught me how to be an intentional gift giver (she gives the most heartfelt, talented, homemade gifts and it challenges me to step up my game), how to love my friends better, and how to call each other higher. She is the goofiest, yet most well-spoken person you’ll ever meet. The vastness of her love for people can only be explained by her faith. The Lord brought us together at the perfect time and I couldn’t imagine a better person to stand right by my side. Ella, you are like the sunshine. Warm, radiant, and giving of life. I love you!

Laura Aguillard

Matron of Honor

Mrs. Laura, the lady at church with the cool pants. The summer of 2024 is when the Lord began drawing me into Him. One of the greatest of His methods was sending Mrs. Laura over to me at church and asking me to get coffee. I had never met with any sort of mentor before. I couldn’t tell you the difference between the Old and the New Testament. But I could tell you that Mrs. Laura had a passionate love for the Lord. I may not have known the Lord most of my life, but I am infinitely grateful to have been taught about Him as the Bridegroom. Mrs. Laura, as a vessel of the Holy Spirit, taught me that I was fully known and deeply loved. From that point on, I was all in for the Lord and rooted in LifeHouse Church. Now, we simply do life together. She’s been there with me through college life, new friends, hard times, and even meeting Jacob. She is the biggest dreamer that I know and fans the flames of our ambitions for the Lord. Her wisdom is immeasurable. Mrs. Laura, you are like the cedars of Lebanon. Your beauty is found in your strength, your steadfastness, and the way you point others to the Lord. I love you!

Carley Petty

Bridesmaid

My bean (bean being her favorite word). We knew each other from a distance at FCA for a while. That is until Pastor Mike’s encouraged me to reach out her while we were both in Houston. We walked around the biggest mall I’ve ever been to and suddenly… I couldn’t stop talking. We must have both said 200,000 words that day. When we got back home we first hung out at the pool and spilled our life stories. That’s when I knew that our bond would be special. We had many firsts together in our Christian walk. We spent late nights crying with one another. And others laughing. Her apartment was such a safe place to all of us and she truly hosted us with such a servants heart. She is so intentional in every aspect of the word. People can’t help but feel loved and seen when she’s around. I am so thankful to be one of those people. Carley, you are like Mary of Bethany. While it is true, you can be a clean freak, you forget about the mess when it’s time to focus on Jesus. You sit at His feet so humbly and treasure His presence like no other. I love you.

Hannah Callahan

Bridesmaid

The term “best friends since birth” truly applies here. Except she had to go six, very boring, months without me. We spent everyday of our childhood together at Granny’s house and every summer once we started school. We played 1000 jobs (our game we invented), watched The Cat and the Hat while eating cosmic brownies and cheeto puffs, sliding on the water slide till the seams came out, and got in lots of trouble together of course. Believe it or not, Granny actually used to yell. We came back together in high school and were both on the dance team. It was intimidating going into 9th grade with a bunch of people who had been going to school together since pre-k, but I felt okay knowing that I had my big cousin there. Through all of the years and life changes, I always knew that she was constant. She is a comforter in time of need and tougher than nails. Hannah, you are like a seed. Small and unassuming, yet full of life and incredible strength. What looked like being buried was really God planting you. He’s growing something beautiful in you. I love you.

Alyson Tyrrell

Bridesmaid

Not everyone has a double cousin. Yes, we are related in two different ways. Maybe that's what has always kept us connected so closely. A core memory for me is going to good ole Hidden Oaks Campground. I thought it was one of the most incredible places because that is where one of my bestest friends always was. Though she went more than me and had a whole world of friends there, she never made me feel like an outsider. I never felt like I had to fight for her attention or be someone else in order to fit in. We swam in the creek, danced line dances to the band, walked bare foot on rocks (she was immune while I was crying inside), and we had an elite candy trading session at the end of every Halloween night. I have to admit... we even planned to have camouflage wedding dresses one day. I guess you all will have to wait and see if this plan fell through or not. Alyson has always been my safe place in the midst of our unique family. She has no idea how seen she makes me feel anytime I open up to her. Alyson, you are like a porch light that is always on. You remind me that I always have a safe place to come back to. I love you.

Carly Johnson

Bridesmaid

Have you ever met someone who quite literally lights up a room with their smile, yet has no idea? That is Carly. We connected through Lionettes and specifically our love for the Lord. We love to go on walks and talk about life and dance and more dance. I always end up being winded because I forget to take breaths. She is one of my favorite people in the world to talk to. We can talk about anything and everything, knowing that our intentions are pure. She is quick to lift people up and very slow to anger. Even when I convince her to go kayaking in Oklahoma and she flips into the freezing water. Oh yeah and also looses her phone... I was so scared she would be upset with me. Yet, she laughed despite her very evident high stress level (and maybe a mild panic attack). I think the horseback riding made up for it. Hopefully. She is truly beautiful inside and out. Carly, you are like an olive tree. You stay vibrant year round and even withstand rocky, dry climates where other trees may fall. You are truly set apart and bring such a peace. I love you.

Ashton Holleman

Bridesmaid

If you've ever walked into my apartment and thought it's so cute. That would be Ashton's doing. We follow Hobby Lobby's timeline over here which means fall starts in July. She is my pumpkin spice loving, pilates instructor, country accent having roommate. We began freshman year together on Lionettes and have been through a whirlwind with that alone. The most memorable being when she dressed up as a guy named Boudreaux and brought a dead duck that she quote on quote hunted that morning. I think I see Boudreaux in my nightmares sometimes. Ashton is the person who cries and laughs simultaneously. You feel for her yet also can't help but giggle also. Like when she cried in my car because the Saints coach told her to cut her hair. She was terrified by this idea. Don't worry, now she looks so cute and loves it. She is such a hard worker and truly the most talented dancer that I know. Ashton, you are like joy in human form. You are such a great friend to everyone around you and make the heavy moments a little lighter. I love you.

Mackenzie Vicknair

Bridesmaid

The blessings of God are very in my life, and a great example would be Mackenzie. Growing up our age gap was more evident. I was wrapped up in high school when she was in middle school. Now looking back, my heart is tender to my little cousin wanting a friendship with me. But, the Lord’s timing as we know, is always so intentional. Coming to the Lord in college, my not so little cousin was a huge inspiration to me. More than she realizes. She chose Christ for herself in high school and has a spiritual maturity that’s truly a gift from God. I cherish our talks so much and every second of our time we spend together. It has been a privilege to watch her grow into this beautiful person. She is kind to everyone she meets and comes alive around her friends. She has a heart for serving the younger generation and finds joy in going from church camp to church camp…. with no break in between. I thank the Lord that He put us in the same family and that our bond is for life. Mackenzie, you are like Ruth. Your spiritual maturity goes beyond your years and your kindness blesses everyone around you. I love you.

Jeffrey Swearingen

Best Man

I met Jeff in 4th grade at North Live Oak Elementary. He is the only person I have met that is just as competitive as me. We would even compete in school to see who could get the best grades. I’ll never forget in 7th grade when he did the dishes and took out the trash for bonus points because his mom was our teacher. It’s funny to think about, but that story really sums up who Jeff truly is. A winner. Jeff is also a rock climber, a 4.0 pickleball player, and he can ice skate backwards. The point of me saying that isn’t to brag about Jeff, but it is to emphasize his passion to be different. The thing I love most about Jeff is his uniqueness. Jeff stands out without trying to stand out. I’ve never seen him truly fail at anything…other than Algebra. I’ll never forget when Jeff stood up during class one day to say one thing on his bucket list and he said “I want to be someone’s best man.” There is no one else I’d want by my side on my special day and I have a feeling many would agree with me. This might be your first wedding as a best man, but I doubt it’s your last. Thanks for being my best friend all these years. I love you.

Micah Miller

Groomsman

I met Micah freshman year of college in Management 101. After that year we had 2 or 3 classes a semester together. He was my favorite classmate throughout college, but he was also my best friend. I still remember when Micah would take me to his apartment in between classes, sing to me on the way, cook for me, and then take me back to class. It wasn’t until Junior and Senior year of college that we became much more than classmates. We served on FCA Leadership together, went to ball games together, and lead Bible studies together. Micah is a Man of God. No matter how much he may be going through, you will never be able to tell. He doesn’t put his load onto others. Instead, he adds others loads to his. He truly puts others before himself. Another thing about Micah is that he isn’t moving away from me and I couldn’t be happier. I remember all of the talks we had about what he’d do after college and I couldn’t help but be biased. I told Micah he would be the next throws coach at Southeastern andea he didn’t believe me, but he was wrong. Yes, Micah is a D1 Coach fresh out of college. How? Because Micah is a leader among leaders. I love you.

Cole DeLaughter

Groomsman

I met Cole when I was 2 years and 215 days old. Cole is my little brother, but he’s really my best friend. He’s been my shadow ever since he could walk and I wouldn’t want it any differently. It didn’t matter how many times I beat him at something he always came back for more. I still remember when the bus would drop us off at the end of the road and he would be so excited to race me home just to end up in a ditch (where I pushed him down). Then he would be just as excited to do it all over again the next day. Or when he wanted to play against me in basketball and I wouldn’t even let him score. But he couldn’t be more excited to play against me again and again. We took baths together and shared a room for 7 years. We never left each others side. Cole may not know this, but I didn’t want to do anything without him. He’s always been just as big of a hero to me as I am to him. One word that describes Cole is tough. He is the toughest kid I know. It doesn’t matter how many times you beat him or how many punches you throw at him…he just keeps getting back up. I feel sorry for those who don’t have a Cole in their life. Thank you Jesus for the best little brother anybody could ever ask for. I love you buddy.

Ethan DeLaughter

Groomsman

I met Ethan the second I was born. Ethan is my older brother, but he’s also my protector. He got whooped the most growing up, but I firmly believe that’s just because he always showed me what NOT to do. So I didn’t. There are so many stories of Ethan as a child I love, but the one that sticks out to me is the one where Ethan would take me out of the baby swing and put me on the ground so he could use the baby swing himself. I’m sure he was just looking out for me in some way…Another story I love is when my mom explained to me that our pediatrician said I didn’t talk much because Ethan always talked for me. Again, I’m sure Ethan was just making sure I didn’t say the wrong thing. Ethan protected and looked out for me in a way nobody has ever done. He always put me in a position where if anything went wrong he would be the one at fault and I would be fine. Ethan never wanted to be the best at anything…he always wanted me to be the best. Ethan is a peacemaker. He may not know this, but whenever he is around I feel protected. I always have felt that way and I’m sure others can say the same. I’m so blessed to have the best older brother anyone could ever have. Ethan is the most humble leader I know. I love you.

Ryan Brome

Groomsman

I met Ryan during the second semester of junior year on FaceTime through Micah’s phone. The first thing he ever said to me was, “Oh my goodness, look at that cutie.” From that moment, I knew this friendship would be unlike any other. Not long after, I watched Ryan hit bombs for Southeastern and quickly realized he was an incredible athlete. Honestly, I never expected him to be that good, but I was definitely proven wrong. What stands out most about Ryan, though, isn’t his athletic ability. He’s a man of God with one of the most unique senses of humor I’ve ever encountered. Early on, I never knew what he might say, but I’ve come to realize that’s one of his greatest strengths. God truly speaks through him. He knows what to say, when to say it, and how to say it. Ryan is also one of the most faithful people I know. Through difficult seasons, when many would have given up, he kept reminding me, “God is going to make a way.” I believed it, but not with the confidence he did. In the end, he was right. God made a way. I love you.
