About Our Wedding

Dry Wedding

Friends and family, as some of you know or may not know, Cameron and Cali will be having a dry wedding. Neither Cameron nor Cali drink alcohol, and due to that and religious beliefs, it will not be provided/permitted at or in the venue. We hope you understand, and we can't wait to see you all on our big day!

How We Met

5/12/17

We met at a small get-together of a mutual friend. I (Cali) was just about to end my freshman year of college, and Cameron was ending his sophomore year. I had noticed him from across the room, and asked his roommate/best man, Trent, if he still had a girlfriend. I was honestly just curious. He said no, went and spoke a few words to Cameron, then before I knew it Cameron was sitting right next to me. We talked a little bit before going our separate ways. Cameron later messaged me on instagram, and we just hit it off. There was only about a week left in the semester before summer, but we soaked up all that time hanging out and going on our first date. After that, Cameron and I Face-timed all summer until we were able to see each other again in the Fall.

How We Got Engaged

01/22/20

Cameron had won a cruise through his company, and he decided to take me this time. We flew to meet each other in Denver, then went to Miami to await boarding. It was our second day on the cruise when he popped the question. He had told me he wanted to pick my outfit out for the night, which was a little hint I picked up on. That day, we docked and went to the island of Nassau. We explored, shopped, and just enjoyed being together in the hot sun, staring at the beautifully clear water. Funny story - We went to the straw market that day as well to find souvenirs. One lady at her booth asked if we were on our honeymoon. We said no, and said that we w're still only boyfriend and girlfriend. She then said, "This is your night.. you're getting a ring tonight. You're getting a rock. Just wait". I was thinking this lady was crazy, but Cameron was thinking, "HOW DID SHE KNOW?!". Anyways, we board the boat and get ready for a show and dinner. We watched an amazing ballroom dance show. However, before heading to dinner, Cameron wanted to "take pictures" outside. We walked up the stairs to this beautifully lit balcony overlooking the entire ship. We were walking up, followed by Camerons brother Chad and his family. Once we got to the top, Cameron looked at me as he got on one knee. I would tell you what he said, but I honestly blacked out. I don't even remember saying yes... but I did!
