How Jackson and Kendra Met

Jackson and Kendra did not know one another existed until May 10th, 2024. They believe God placed them both in the same place at the same time! One of Kendra's college roommates, Denise, and her husband, Justin, were moving across the state of Wisconsin. Denise reached out to Kendra and their mutual friend, Emma (who is also a college friend) to see if they could help them move. Kendra agreed, and so did Emma! Denise told them to invite whoever they'd like, the more the merrier! Kendra said her brother, Jake, would be coming along to help, and Emma said she would reach out to her young adult group at her church and see if anyone would be interested in helping out. Jackson was a part of the young adults group at Emma's church and he agreed to help out, even though he had never met Denise or Justin before. Friday, May 10th, 2024 arrives and Jackson and Kendra both cross paths and introduce themselves to one another. About 5-10 minutes later, Emma goes to introduce both Jackson and Kendra to each other, but they said they already introduced themselves and started an inside joke with one another, shaking hands and saying to each other "It's so nice to meet you, it's been so long!" Throughout the day, they chat with one another, feeling an instant connection! What really surprised them was within 3 hours of meeting one another, they both sang the chorus of "We Didn't Start The Fire" by Billy Joel at the exact same time and in the exact same tone and key. At the end of the day, Jackson asked Kendra for the best way to contact her, and they haven't gone a single day without talking to one another since. They did a long distance (3 hours) relationship for the first 10 months until Kendra decided to move with a new job opportunity! Jackson proposed to Kendra on December 12th, 2025, so their wedding day will be exactly 1 year of being engaged! Faith is such a huge part of both of their lives, and they are so grateful to the Lord for bringing them together and giving them such an incredible story. They are so excited for what God is going to do in their marriage, and they are so blessed and thankful for all of the support they have from their families, friends, and their community!
