Each place sets its own unique hours and could depend on the day. We have tried to indicate business hours in the "Things to Do" tab, but understand those times may change. Best bet - don't wait too late to head out to dinner or you may end up at DQ!
Unfortunately we were not able to secure any hotel blocks. Each hotel we have recommended is great, and unique in their own ways. There are a lot of 3 and 4 bedroom homes throughout the city that can be secured through AirBnB.
Parking will be somewhat limited and if possible try carpooling. It is expected we should be able to have about 30-50 cars that can park in the driveway or the gravel road behind the Villa Blanca. This will be updated as we get closer to the day!
Well the good thing its not like Austin or Dallas! Typically there is on street parking everywhere and you don't need to pay a dime:) Might not be a bad idea to park your car at the Sentential, as this is where the reception will be, and carpool down the street to the ceremony prior to the party!
Don't forget your telescope, swimsuit and cowboy boots!
Marfa, has a small but unique nightlife scene that reflects its artsy, eclectic vibe. While it's not a big party town, it offers a mix of laid-back bars, star gazing, and occasional live music or DJ sets. Most businesses close around 10/11 pm. Here’s what you can expect: Bars & Drinks The Pony Saloon – A classic, no-frills dive bar with cheap drinks, a rustic atmosphere, and sometimes live music. Planet Marfa – A seasonal, quirky outdoor beer garden with hammocks, a teepee, and a rooftop deck. Bar Saint George – Located in Hotel Saint George, this is a more upscale cocktail spot with a stylish, modern ambiance. Live Music & Entertainment The Capri – Occasionally hosts live music, DJs, or special artsy events in a beautifully designed space. Marfa Spirits Co. – A local distillery with a bar that sometimes has live music or events. El Cosmico – This trendy trailer hotel sometimes throws concerts, DJ nights, or special cultural gatherings. Other Nightlife Experiences Marfa Lights Viewing Area – A must-do nighttime activity if you're up for a bit of mystery. People gather here to catch a glimpse of the famous unexplained “Marfa Lights.” Art Openings & Pop-Ups – Marfa’s status as an art hub means that galleries and cultural spaces sometimes hold evening events. Overall, nightlife in Marfa is more about slow, artsy, and intimate experiences rather than wild parties. It’s the kind of place where you grab a drink, enjoy live music, and chat with interesting people under the vast West Texas sky.
