FAQs

Question

I see two dates! How does this work?

Answer

We’ve decided to have the best of both worlds! We are exchanging our vows in an intimate ceremony in the Smoky Mountains on September 12th. Two weeks later, on September 26th, we are hosting a wedding homecoming at our family’s farm in Monticello to celebrate with all of our favorite people.

Question

Will there be a ceremony on the 26th?

Answer

No, the 26th is strictly for the celebration! We will be sharing some highlights and photos from our mountain ceremony during the reception so you can see the "I Dos."

Question

What time should I arrive at the Wedding Homecoming?

Answer

We’ve designed our celebration to be a "come and go" event! Please feel free to drop in whenever it suits you between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM. There isn't a formal sit-down dinner or a scheduled ceremony.

Question

Should I come hungry the Wedding Homecoming?

Answer

Absolutely! We’ll have a grazing table with appetizers & sweets. It’s not a formal plated dinner, but there will be plenty to eat while you mingle.

Question

Where is the wedding?

Answer

The wedding homecoming is being held at our family’s farm: 401 Auction Street, Monticello, KY 42633. For those joining us for the ceremony on the 12th, that will be held in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

Question

How do I get to the Ceremony in the Park?

Answer

We are asking all ceremony guests to meet at our Gatlinburg rental (address to be provided) by 12:00 PM EST. Due to the National Park’s strict limit of parking spaces, we will be carpooling from the house.

Question

Is there cell service in the Park?

Answer

No. Once you enter the Elkmont area of the National Park, cell service is non-existent.

Question

Will there be a meal after the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! We will be hosting a "Mountain Lunch" at the cabin immediately following the ceremony.
