“We’re Renewing Our Vows!”

After a year and a half of dating, Nicholas proposed to me on the shore of Lake Hefner. He surprised me with my two best friends and a lovely dinner at Goro Ramen to celebrate. The next day, August 13th, was my birthday which we celebrated with a private dinner. Obviously it was the best one yet! A fiancée and Bday girl! Fast forward two days and we were notified that Nicholas was deploying for TWO MONTHS!! This would’ve been no big deal, however, we were moving to Alaska in THREE! So we booked an appointment at the courthouse and OKC chapel for the very next day… After came lots of crazy discussions, planning, erratic errand runs, and LOTS of paperwork. Next thing you know we’re walking around downtown as Mr. and Mrs. Hollingsworth!

After our crazy August-November 2024 timeline we decided the best idea was to have a ceremony for all our family to attend. While the chapel was special for a select few, we want all of our family and friends to be a part of such a special moment. Nicholas and I have decided to renew our vows in September of 2026! Due to the rushed circumstances of our original and private ceremony we were unable to prepare vows, exchange rings, partake and all of the festivities. Now we have the time to slow down and enjoy each special moment with the ones we love. We’re very excited for the next step in our journey and want to cherish each memory we can make together.
