As we planned our wedding for October 2020, we never imagined how drastically life would change in the year of 2020. When we thought about what are marriage meant to us we decided that all we needed was God and one another. So even though our wedding day was NOTHING like we had hoped and anticipated for, we got married October 10, 2020. There were many challenges leading up to that day, but it ended up being more beautiful than we could have ever imagined. Even though the wedding was small we were showered with love from all our friends and family near and far. We had the opportunity to share our day with everyone, but it just was not the same. Now that we have said "I Do", we want to put on the celebration we had initially anticipated sharing with all of you. We missed you all dearly and we are ready to party it up with you coming June 2022. Let's try this again, #GoinToJacksonPart2.
A fishing trip with a cousin turned into the moment Caleb and Tricia will never forget. Fishing on Lake Ontario is a normal get-away for the happy couple. Tricia's cousin Taylor came to the farm to visit for a week in the summer 2019. The plan was to take Taylor up to the lake for a few days to show her one of Caleb and Tricia's favorite things to do in the summer. Caleb knew that in order for the proposal to be a surprise, he had to work really hard to make Tricia think there was no possible way there was a ring along on the trip. He tried to get to the lake just before the sunset to pop the question. However, Tricia decided it would be a good idea to leave for the lake after a family dinner, so the proposal was delayed. After being delayed a couple days, the proposal finally took place. Caleb decided that they would get off the water early to get some lunch before the pig roast they were going to attend that evening. Before they got lunch, Caleb came up with the idea to go on an adventure to show Taylor the pier. Of course, this was no alarm since Taylor has never been to the Lake nor the pier before. Once they got on the pier and got their pictures, there was an awkward moment of just watching boats come into the river. Tricia didn't realize until the last moment that there was a reason they were on the pier and it was not just for Taylor's pictures. Then, Caleb got on one knee and asked the question. Tricia said yes and Taylor got the million dollar picture of the life-changing event.
Hojo's Agriculture classroom has been known to be like a "love boat". Many graduates have found their one true love through the FFA program. Little did he know, his daughter Tricia would be one of those "caught" in the "love boat". Caleb was a member of the Canton FFA where he had many chances to conveniently run into the Ag teachers daughter. The beginning years of Caleb and Tricia's relationship were spent at chicken BBQs, FFA competitions, Farm show Trips, and other Agriculture conferences. The first official date, and first time Tricia's father found out about the relationship, was when the couple went to the local bowling alley December 20, 2013. Their relationship has grown ever since those beginning days and the adventures have been endless.
