August 2022 The Fellowship In August of 2022, Caleb and Stacey started the Sky Ranch Fellowship Program. For those of you who do not know, the Fellowship is a 54-week internship program with Sky Ranch filled with intensive discipleship, biblical community, and practical camp experience. Caleb was at the Van, TX location while Stacey was at the Horn Creek location in Westcliffe, CO. At the time, the two of them knew next to nothing about each other. January 2023 All Staff Every year, Sky Ranch has its All Staff gathering/meeting at the Van, TX location, where all of the full-time staff/interns from the other sites come to the Van, TX location for a time of celebration, training, and looking to the future. This was where Caleb and Stacey really met for the first time. Caleb’s Fellows hosted Stacey’s Fellows for a small party on camp with games, a campfire, and meaningful conversation. Especially for Caleb and Stacey. Without really planning to, the two of them had a long get-to-know-you conversation around a campfire, comparing notes on life, upbringing, and their respective Fellowships. However, upon the conclusion of All Staff, Stacey went back to Horn Creek and that was the end of the conversation until August. August 2023 Master's Program In August of 2023, Caleb and Stacey both started the Master’s Program with Sky Ranch, a 21-month internship program where, at the end, they would graduate with a Master’s in Ministry. It was also the start of their friendship and getting to know each other in the context of biblical community. Summer 2024 Summer of 2024, Caleb and Stacey both had the opportunity to serve at Sky Ranch Ute Trail in CO, Stacey in the kitchen and Caleb on the Activities Team. The summer was challenging for both of them, balancing the rigors of summer camp and graduate school all at once. This brought the two of them closer together as friends, particularly towards the end of the summer. Fall 2024 After a little time apart at the end of summer, Caleb and Stacey eventually came back to the Sky Ranch Van location for the second year of the Master’s Program. On September 21st, they went on a long walk on some country roads to talk, and that was when they first shared their feelings towards one another. Then on October 11, Caleb and Stacey went to a friend’s barn dance as “just friends,” but later that day became more than just “good friends,” but boyfriend and girlfriend.
