We said yes!

This year was a whirlwind! While Caleb and Olivia’s engagement might seem quick to some of you, it has been a long loving pursuit for many years. Our families have been connected for over ten years through church. Olivia has been close friends with Caleb’s cousins and sisters and in 2016 Olivia attended Caleb’s sister, MaryCallie, & Logan’s wedding in Virginia. As the bride’s hairdresser, Olivia recalls being introduced to Caleb during pre-wedding preparations and assisting him in locating a pair of scissors. Caleb asked Olivia to dance at that wedding and she accepted. Little did they know that the dance they shared at that wedding would be a foreshadowing of their own just five years later!   Over the next few years their paths crossed intermittently; Olivia started cutting Caleb’s hair whenever he wasn’t in Florida. They got to know each other through hair appointments where Caleb consistently gifted Olivia with coffee at each visit. Over time the conversation grew in depth and turned to flirtation. New Years Eve 2019-2020 Olivia and Caleb happened to attend the same party where they really hit it off and ended up talking until 6am! After that, they each made it a point to include each other in their group plans. Conversations became more frequent and Olivia and Caleb often took walks as they grew into great friends and eventually made it “official” :)  New Year’s Eve 2020-2021 took place at Caleb’s apartment with a group of close friends. Caleb continued his long-standing tradition of stepping outside away from the bustle to usher in the new year, but this year he invited Olivia to join him. As the clock struck midnight Caleb dropped to his knee and asked Olivia to be his bride under the stars.
