When the appropriate time comes to send official invites, we will include any RSVP information you may need inside your invitation. We will likely send something in the mail after September of this year. In the meantime, it would be beneficial to update either of us with any changes to your phone number, email address, and/or mailing address If you are seeing this at the engagement party, that means we are planning to send you an invite to the wedding.
Please plan to arrive at the venue on time at 3:00pm. If you run late, you will run the risk of driving through the ceremony procession since it utilizes the same walkway to get to the parking lot. There will be parking attendants to assist you with your car and direct you where to go. We will be prepared to accept guests as early as 2:45.
The dress code is Semi Formal. I would recommend wearing classy midi length dresses, and dress shirts (or button downs) with slacks. Suits and full length dresses are also welcome. The ceremony is outdoors, so please wear shoes you are comfortable walking in on grass. The cocktail hour and reception are indoors. If you would like to change your shoes for dancing, we will be doing the same! Please do not wear jeans, bright red clothing, or tuxes. PLEASE DO NOT WEAR WHITE, CREAM, IVORY, ECT,.
Considering that we have been living together for awhile now, we don't really need anything physical and have decided to create Honeymoon Fund instead! The Honeymoon Fund is listed here on the wedding website. If you would like to contribute without using the website, we are happy to accept a check or cash gift as well. We are going to Hawaii in March because we prefer to wait for the holidays, and both of our birthdays to pass.
Unfortunately, we will have to stick to a certain head count due to the venues capacity limitations and potential seating concerns; therefore only those listed on your invite will be able to join us. If you would like to bring somebody not listed on your invite, you may check in with the bride around a month before the wedding to see if there is availability. Plus one's will be granted on a first come, first serve basis and will depend on the number of 'no's' we receive.
We really do wish we could include everybody’s children and have a big family affair, but unfortunately the only kids allowed at the wedding will be close relatives of the bride and groom. The names of individuals listed on your invite will be the only one's able to join us on our wedding day. If you feel a mistake has been made or need childcare recommendations, please don't hesitate to reach out to the bride for help.
On the travel page of this website we linked the three closest hotels from each direction that you might be coming from. There are also a few air-bnb's in the area. If none of those interest you, we recommend exploring Hagerstown or Frederick for different options. We have not secured a hotel room block yet and the bride and groom will be in staying in a private airbnb.
