Caleb and Liz met at church. He plays drums on the worship team. She sings on the worship team. They stepped on stage one beautiful Sunday morning, locked eyes during a set and knew it was love. NOPE! Just kidding. Caleb and Liz spent the first few years of knowing each other just as friends. Buddies. Pals. The timing was never quite right to move out of that Friendzone. Weekend after weekend, they would share stage time, worship sets, and plenty of sarcastic banter, but that's as far as it went. Until Christmas time in 2019 when Caleb figured out the way to Liz's heart: the Lord and coffee. He would bring her coffee to practices, you know, as any good buddy would do, but this made Liz nervous as she didn't want to "ruin their friendship" (classic). Caleb persisted, and after a month of coffee dates, power-walking-through-the-Christmas-lights-in-Bronson Park dates, Hopcat dates, and prayer meeting dates (even though Liz wasn't convinced that they weren't still "just friends"), they realized the Lord had something awesome planned for them. They stepped out of that Friendzone, started dating in the beginning of 2020 *cue navigating a relationship in the middle of a pandemic*, and Caleb surprised Liz with a ring eight months later (slightly better than a cup of coffee, but only slightly). They can't wait to get married in May to officially become best friends for life.
