Our story began with the Lord’s perfect timing. The day after Valentine’s Day in 2025, a mutual friend, Hunter Martin, invited his old roommate, Caleb, to Hattiesburg to meet a girl he thought he would really like. That girl was Kristen — although she wasn’t given the full details. She was simply told a friend was coming into town for the weekend. Little did she know, God was orchestrating something far greater. They met for the first time at a group dinner at Keg and Barrel in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. From the very beginning, there was a connection. Kristen was very shy at first, but Caleb made the conversation easy, which brought her out of her shell. At one point that night, when they found themselves alone at the table, Caleb casually slid his phone across for Kristen to put her number in — a small moment that would mark the start of everything. They talked until midnight and met again for brunch the very next morning. From that day forward, there wasn’t a single day they didn’t talk. As the days passed, they quickly realized how much they had prayed for the qualities they were now seeing in each other. Their shared love for Christ, church, family, sports, food, and traveling made their connection feel both exciting and deeply grounded. What began as a simple introduction quickly became something they both recognized as a gift from the Lord. Just two weeks later, on March 1, 2025, they made it official. Their relationship has been one of steady growth — built on prayer, encouragement, laughter, and choosing each other daily. Through every adventure and every ordinary moment, they felt the Lord confirming what their hearts already knew: they did not want to do life without one another. On November 8, 2025, in one of their favorite places — Oxford, Mississippi — Caleb got down on one knee and asked Kristen to be his wife. It was a moment filled with gratitude, joy, and the overwhelming faithfulness of God. She said yes — and they cannot wait to see how the Lord continues to write their story in marriage. The couple plans to be married in a small, intimate beach ceremony in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, on September 12, 2026, surrounded by close family and friends.
