It was the first day of orientation at our new jobs at St. Luke’s. I sat down at a table and was waiting for the day to begin when I saw this cute boy walk in. I thought to myself, “please sit at my table, I need to know who you are.” Throughout the day we did group activities and would periodically talk to one another. Towards the end of the day, Caleb was talking about how he gotten an email with information in it about what to do the following day. I spoke up and said, “I didn’t get that email, could you send it to me?” I put my email address into his phone and he sent it (him not knowing that I needed to know who this man was). The day ended and we went our seperate ways. We had orientation classes for a few weeks but our schedules were different. We didn’t see much of each other however, we’d send each other emails to communicate. After two days of emailing, Caleb sent an email that had his phone number in it. Whenever our schedules lined up we would eat lunch together and talk. As we started talking we found common interests in tacos and margaritas. He told me about a restaurant called BelAir Cantina that I needed to try. He invited me multiple times to go out together but each time I declined. We kept talking and a few weeks later I brought up wanting tacos again and once again Caleb asked. This time, I said yes, and we spent the evening talking and laughing. After that night we started to get closer and spent almost everday together. He had to go to a few weeks of training for the Army and while he was gone we talked everyday. It was just after my birthday when he was supposed to come home and he ended up coming home a day early to surprise me by walking through my door while we were talking on the phone. Caleb gave me a handmade birthday card that confessed his love to me and asked if we could take things to the next level. The rest is history as we have been inseperable ever since.
