How We Met

Freshman Year 2016

We met in our Highschool freshman year English class, Mrs. Weis. Caleb sat right behind me. I quickly noticed how funny he was and thought he was so cool. We became best friends, and would talk every day. All of our friends would joke around with us and say we would date someday but he thought I was annoying and I thought he was gross (still true)!

Dating

Bus Rides

After a year of just being friends, Caleb and I realized we might have something special. We talked about it for days. We sat next to each other on the bus (Caleb got on before me so he would sit in my spot to warm my seat up). On January 17th, 2017, Caleb nonchalantly looked at me and said "wanna make this official?" I obviously said yes and ran as fast as I could inside to tell all of my friends!

The Proposal

"Wow, you are so stupid"

Caleb and I had been talking a lot about getting married recently, so I was expecting a proposal soon, but he had tricked me and made me think it was happening way later than I thought. While in my room, I had lit a candle and then made a comment to Caleb about how he had asked me to junior prom using candles. Caleb said he stunk and asked me to grab him a spray, while I was getting it, he stood up behind me. I was startled and confused but sprayed him with the spray anyway. Earlier that day, Caleb put the ring box by my perfumes without me knowing. He was surprised I didn't see the ring box by my perfumes the first time and asked me to get him another spray, so I did, completely clueless. Caleb then hugged me and reached behind me and said "wow, you are so stupid” as he grabbed the ring box. That's when I realized what was about to happen. He got on one knee and proposed! I'm so glad we got to have that special moment with just us and I wouldn't have it any other way. It’s a perfect representation of my cluelessness, his thoughtful thinking, and our love filled with many laughs.
