FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please let us know if you’ll be joining us by August 30th! We’re so excited and want to make sure there’s a seat (and a slice of cake!) just for you.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Your presence is the greatest gift of all, but for those who’ve asked, we’ve created a registry through Amazon (linked on our website). There’s also an option on Zola to contribute to our future together through a donation, if you wish.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30 PM. We recommend arriving by 4:00 PM to allow time to park, get settled, and enjoy the moment before things begin. If you are needed for pre-ceremony photos, we’ll reach out to you directly. Most family photos will be taken during cocktail hour following the ceremony. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Dress Code: Semi-Formal We kindly ask guests to wear semi-formal attire for our celebration. The wedding party will be dressed in a mix of pinks, purples, and greens—feel free to complement the palette or simply come dressed to celebrate in style!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to venue capacity and our desire to keep the celebration intimate, we kindly ask that you only bring the guests specifically listed on your invitation. Unfortunately, we’re unable to accommodate additional plus-ones or children. Thank you for understanding

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

As much as we love your little ones, we kindly but firmly request that you leave them at home for this evening, so we can all enjoy a wonderful, adults-only celebration together. (16+)

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

We’re pleased to share that our wedding dinner will be entirely gluten-free, with the only exception being the optional dinner roll. If you have any other dietary restrictions or allergies—such as dairy-free, vegetarian, vegan, nut-free, or others—please let us know when you RSVP. We’ll work closely with the Talon Room to accommodate your needs as best we can so everyone can enjoy the celebration comfortably. Your comfort means a lot to us, and we appreciate your communication in advance! Menu: Herb Crusted Chicken Breast Smashed Potatoes Green Beans Salad Dinner Roll

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is limited street parking near the venue, but the good news is that it’s free on Sundays. For additional convenience, there’s a parking garage directly across the street from the Talon Room at The Q Place Garage (1111 Q Street). The first hour is free, with standard hourly rates after that. We recommend arriving a little early to allow time to park and get settled before the ceremony begins!

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Heads Up: Game Day in Lincoln! The night before our wedding, the Huskers will be playing a home game against Michigan. With the game happening in Lincoln, things may be a bit busier than usual — especially around downtown and hotel areas. If you’re planning to stay overnight, we recommend booking accommodations early and allowing extra time for travel and parking. Go Big Red! ❤️🏈
