In Hebrew and Yiddish the word Beshert or באַשערט means “meant to be” and refers to one's divinely preordained spouse or soulmate. Often times in life this “destiny” is not easily seen or understood to us but sometimes, on rare occasions, we catch a glimpse in the rear view mirror of how G-d makes everything work behind the scenes and it becomes clear. It all started with a group of monks, summer camp 2007, and a dash of middle school angst. Not necessarily the perfect ingredients for “meant to be” but somehow the recipe was perfect. Caleb and Andrea met on the dance floor at Camp Jori at the tender ages of 11 and 12 and continued to be friends throughout middle school and high school. Just to be clear, "friends" meant that Caleb tried to get Andrea’s attention and Andrea ignored Caleb at all costs. Fortunately, after years of this “friendship” a real friendship grew and there was no doubt that they were a great team. Somewhere between Rhode Island, Israel, New York, England, and Boston as well as middle school, high school, college and first jobs, Beshert happened and the two were inseparable. You are part of this "meant to be" story that's just getting started and we are excited to celebrate and share in this next chapter with you at our wedding!
