Meet our family and friends who are walking us down the aisle!

Sophia Michalopoulos

Maid of Honor

Sophia and Amanda met in college (the University of Vermont) while attending the same Campus Ministry (Reformed University Fellowship AKA RUF). They were both longing for a community when they stumbled upon each other one afternoon. Sophia recalls thinking Amanda was "SO COOL" (true statement) and did everything in her power to be her friend. The moment Sophia knew she wanted to be best friends with Amanda was when they both went out to eat and Amanda ate an entire order of cheese curds to herself. "Dang, what a woman." Sophia thought to herself. They then became roommates during Amanda's Senior year and remained inseparable until Amanda moved to Baton Rouge and got engaged to a boy from TX. If Sophia were a character from "The Office", she would be Holly.

Michelle Maseroni

Bridesmaid

Michelle and Amanda also became friends in college and both attended RUF together. Amanda remembers very vividly seeing/meeting Michelle for the first time and thinking to herself, "Who is this girl?". Michelle was wearing ALL pink from her head down to her toes (not an exaggeration). She also had a LARGE pink purse that could carry four small dogs. As soon as Michelle spoke and said hello, Amanda couldn't imagine a life without her. If Michelle were a character from "The Office", she would be Kelly.

Kelsey Sullivan

Bridesmaid

Kelsey and Amanda met during the RUF Internship! During one of the first nights of RUF Training (and where you are forced to make friends with strangers), Kelsey and Amanda happened to both hop into the same car together. During that 15-minute car ride, Kelsey asked Amanda enough questions about herself to fill an entire counseling session. Amanda knew she wanted to be friends with Kelsey when she lost Kelsey in a Panera Bread and found her praying with a random stranger. What a Gal. If Kelsey were a Character from "The Office" she would be David Wallace.

Cheyenne Cunningham

Bridesmaid

Cheyenne and Amanda have known each other for 20 years now. What a surprise it was for Amanda to see another girl enter into the family... She may come off as reserved and quiet but dang is she spicy. In her free time, Cheyenne enjoys being a graduate from Cosmetology school, braiding all of her sister's hair after a long day at the salon (this is false), and making coffee drinks with way too much sugar. If Cheyenne were a character from "The Office", she would be Stanley.

Nikki Cunningham

Bridesmaid

Nikki and Amanda have known each other for about 18 years. Nikki is an aspiring baker, dancer (not really), and pro-Netflix binger. She is too quiet and nervously laughs at everything/everyone but that is why we love her. But beware, get too close to Nikki and you'll see her wild side. If Nikki were a character from "The Office", she would be Angela.

Vanessa Cunningham

Bridesmaid

Vanessa and Amanda have known each other for about 16 years. Vanessa is a big fan of all social media platforms (TikTok especially), dancing, and sleeping in until 2 pm (how someone can do that, we don't know). She is the loudest and most bold of the Cunningham children and most likely gets that from her big sis, Amanda. If Vanessa were a character from "The Office", she would be Michael Scott.

Jazmine Cunningham

Bridesmaid

Jazmine and Amanda have known each other for 11 years. Jazzy enjoys loving their two dogs (Thor and Palmer), brushing her long red hair, adding on to her scrunchie collection, and when Amanda scratches her back. She is definitely everyone's favorite and we're okay with that. If Jazzy were a character from "The Office", she would be Erin.

Josh Ssenyonga

Best Man

Josh is one of Caleb's earliest friends from Flower Mound. When they first met, Josh pretty much forced Caleb to spend the night at his house. "Woah, okay. We are moving fast." This was what Caleb thought, but he's glad he said yes. They spent countless nights at each other's houses playing video games, sports, watching tv and just hanging out. Their love for sports led to discussions about players that became very animated. They were ESPN-worthy. Some cool facts about them: they have the same middle name, Daniel. They both bond over their love for Caleb and Josh from the Bible/the fact that they were the only boys in their family. They were also the only Ugandan people in Flower Mound (or felt like it). If Josh was on "New Girl," he would be Nick & Schmidt.

Jesse Peralta

Groomsman

Caleb and Jesse met in 9th grade while they were both starting safeties for the freshman football team. They still argue to this day who is better (it was Caleb). After football season they were able to really be friends. Caleb pretty much spent the entire summer after freshman year at his house. Caleb was at Jesse's house so much that Jesse's mom jokingly said, "Does Caleb have a home?". Jesse is outgoing, loves Lebron James, has great music taste and loves acting & film. He also calls himself the self-pronounced leader of the group, which they all differ on. He can always make a dull moment fun. Caleb credits Jesse for making him step up his fashion sense freshman year. He claims he's the best dancer in the group, but we will see. If Jesse was on "New Girl," he'd be Schmidt.

Benjamin Peralta

Groomsman

Ben (Jesse's younger brother) and Caleb's friendship was unexpected. When Caleb would go over to Jesse's house, Ben was there too and naturally he would hang out with us also. We got to know each other a lot better when Ben went to college. We were hanging in his dorm with some other people. There was a guy Ben and I didn't know who was showing off to some girls he could drink a full water bottle in less than a second. We cheered it on because that was the last thing we expected. Ben is creative, has great music taste, knows how to have a good time, loves soccer, thinks he's the best at Fifa, and loves Kobe (RIP Mamba). If Ben was a character on "New Girl," he would be Nick.

Daryl (DJ) Simon

Groomsman

Caleb met DJ through football during their Freshman year of high school, but they became close through doing Track and Field together. Their deep dislike for the hot Texas heat as well as their track and football workouts created a bond between them. Many memories were made during their time in High School, including playing rubber band wars and cramping up in cold tub baths. DJ is the biggest Star Wars and Star Trek fan you'll ever meet. He is a huge Tom Brady fan, loves soccer, loves film, can fly a plane, has a strong disdain for EA sports, has the most infectious laugh and loves to travel. If DJ was a character on "New Girl," he would be Winston and Schmidt.

Jeffery (JC) Godwin

Groomsman

Caleb met JC in middle school football, but didn't really get to know him until they both graduated from high school. Caleb and JC took many trips in college, but the one that Caleb remembers best is going to Arkansas to visit a friend. Driving to Arkansas was something and it didn't help that one of their friends had a tiny bladder (we evenly took away his right to drink liquids). Once we got there, they had a celebratory drink. One friend had one to many fireballs. Let's just say JC and Caleb spent the rest of the night on clean up duty. JC will be on the dance floor for sure and enjoying a good bite. If JC was a character on "New Girl," he would be Coach & Nick.

Joe Crews

Groomsman

Caleb met Joe in Atlanta, Georgia at orientation for RUF playing spicy Uno, which is basically Uno with more rules. They spent the next five days just hanging out and having fun, especially at this karaoke bar called Moon Dogs. Yes, it's a weird name, but great bar. Joe and Caleb sang their hearts out to "Escape" by Rupert Holmes. Joe would never say it, but he can SING! You can find Joe killing it on the dance floor! If Joe was a character from "New Girl," he would be Nick.

Sam Jakana

Groomsman

Sam, Caleb's cousin, is one of the few boys on Caleb's extended side of the family. Because Caleb doesn't have any brothers, he was able to bond pretty quickly with Sam growing up. Some of their earliest and funniest memories are when they would get together in Uganda or California. They would also spend a good chunk of time laughing at their dads and making fun of how similar they are. Watch out for Sam on the dance floor. He's got some moves. If Sam was a character on "New Girl," he would be Coach.

Daniel Jakana

Groomsman

Daniel is the younger brother to Sam. He is one of the funniest guys Caleb knows and has just the right amount of sass to him. Daniel rarely ever sits still! He is on the go and is always up for a new adventure. He is so fun to be around with and never fails to make people smile with his infectious laugh! Don't be surprised if you hear Daniel singing to a few bangers on the dance floor! If Daniel was a character on "New Girl," he would be Nick and Winston.
