It all began at a Halloween party in 2016. You know the story- girl lays eyes on an interesting guy dressed in a kilt, guy immediately notices and pursues the girl (with all the confidence in the world, despite wearing a kilt)… After some jokes were made and conversations were had, the rest was history! Since becoming a couple, our relationship has been full of countless laughs and an appreciation for the memories we’ve shared. From motorcycle rides and discovering beautiful hiking trails to the days we’ve spent at the lake, sporting events, or on weekend trips, we’ve shared a passion of living life through experiences and that is something we always want to be a priority in our relationship. The past two and a half years have been full of adjustments and changes, but our love for each other has only continued to grow stronger. The decision to spend the rest of our lives together was an easy one and is something we’re looking forward to sharing with our friends and family! We are incredibly excited for the lifetime of adventures to come and cannot wait to begin this next chapter of our lives together by saying, “I do.”
On October 19th, almost three years since the day we met, Caleb popped the question! As a birthday gift, Caleb had bought us tickets for one our favorite sports teams, THE 2019 STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONS! You may have heard of them. Anyways, we made a day out of traveling to St. Louis for the game. We jammed out the entire way there, tried a couple of new places for some food and drinks, and then headed off to the game. Apparently he had thought about doing it sometime throughout the day, but there wasn’t a time that felt right (and he was afraid he would lose the ring.) Caleb isn’t one to make a spectacle out of his proposal, and he decided to wait for a time that would mean the most to us. As we arrived back to his apartment and walked inside, he gave me the biggest hug- he started talking about how much fun he had and how he can’t wait for more days like that to spend together. I could tell he was starting to get a little nervous and then before I knew it, he got down on one knee. He was only about two words in with “Will you..” before I screamed “…are you serious?!” It was perfect, it was home, it was us.
