Both of us had tried our luck at dating in Las Vegas, but neither of us was getting lucky. We both told ourselves we were trying the dating apps one last time and found each other on Hinge. With a line about playing video games at a bar on Wes' profile, Tina knew that she had to at least meet him. And possibly make sure to beat him at said video games. From the first date of fighting over Mario Kart and Super Smash Brothers, we knew this was different from all the other first dates. And I guess the rest is history.
After receiving the blessing of Mr. and Mrs. Williams, Wes set out on the adventure of proposing to Tina. He got drunk on a Thursday and proposed on a Friday. Just Kidding. He actually spent his time at work cultivating the perfect place on their upcoming trip to Universal Studios Hollywood. When they arrived, they strolled through Harry Potter World and rode all the rides. On their way down to Nintendo Land, it all became a blur to Wes. All he knew was he was going down there and proposing to Tina somewhere immediately before he lost his mind. When they arrived, Tina saw the 10 minute wait for the Mario Kart ride and was ready to bee line straight to it. While Wes walked in the opposite direction to ask a worker how to get to the second level (where he planned to pop the question). After noticing Wes was not with her, Tina had to find him and he pushed that they HAD to go upstairs. So Tina agreed (praying that line stayed miraculously low) and up the stairs they went. Once they had their view overlooking the land, Wes asked some poor old lady if she could take some photos. And then he got on one knee and asked Tina to spend the rest of her life with him. Although the words did escape him momentarily. After she said yes, they kissed and hugged and Wes asked, "You did say yes, right?" After thanking the little old grandma who was just there with the grandkids, they went on the Mario Kart ride - which was only a 15 minute wait.
