Kelly and Alex met through online dating site OkCupid back in 2012. Kelly's profile said that she played Call of Duty and Alex's out of date profile picture looked cute. Kelly messaged Alex and after weeks of talking they decided to meet "just for coffee". They went from the coffee shop to Brown's Brewery in Troy. When Kelly casually ordered a dark beer, Alex knew then and there that she was the one. When they walked out the brewery, magically, a festival appeared. After that, like cool people, they went to the movies. Their first date was twelve hours long, and Alex claims it never ended. They quickly started camping and brewing beer together and then eventually they just started doing everything together.
Alex always wanted to propose on one single weekend in July, the anniversary of when they first started dating. They had first decided to date, in the middle of a small park where Alex had shown Kelly how to set up a tent (because Kelly had not ever set up one, but wanted to go camping). So, in coordination with Alex's sister Abby and two friends (Matt and Emily), a tent was magically set up in that same field ahead of time. When Kelly turned away from Alex, he took the chance to drop to one knee. Ring ready, he asked the question and she said "yes!" And almost just as important as the ring, nearby, their family and a small group of friends were hiding with food from Emilio's, brought up from Long Island (thank you Nicole and Luis)!
Why wait any longer? Our ceremony and reception will take place at Revolution Hall / Brown's Brewery in Troy New York on Friday, May 31st 2019.
