We met through my best friend in the whole world, Cassidy! Dave is Cassidy's uncle. Cassidy and I used to live in an apartment together back in 2014-2015. I didn't take great care of my vehicle and it ended up needing a completely new engine. This caused me to move out and go home because I couldn't afford to be on my own anymore. Cassidy had to move out as well and her Uncle David invited her to live with him. Being my best friend, I hung out with her a lot over at their place. One thing led to another and..... here we are :)

This was a completely unexpected surprise! Dave proposed to me last year on January 4, 2020 at the Hawthorne Heights Hotel in Warren, MI. His parents watched our daughter for us for the weekend so we could have adult time and go to dinner and a show. As I finished getting ready, Dave noticed I chose not to wear jewelry, and he takes my hand and says maybe I can fix that and walks me out into the living room area where Dave lit up our entire hotel suite with candles and set up an arrangement of candles into a heart shaped around a small red box. He got down on one knee and, I'm not going to lie, I was laughing so much because I was so happy! He told me how much he loved me and got down on one knee and asked me to be his forever..... of course I said YES!!!!
