Stop in for lunch or just to pick up some things to take home! Some of our favorite vendors include: Hot Chicken Takeover - Be Careful! They aren't kidding when they say hot. Brezel Pretzel - Jalapeno Cheddar and Asiago, Herb, and Cracked Pepper are our favorites, but we don't think you can go wrong.
Known for their Build Your Own Tacos, you can get it exactly how you like it! Not feeling a full meal? They have some of the best Queso, Guac, and (most importantly) Margaritas in Columbus! This is also a great pickup or delivery option if you would feel more comfortable eating in your hotel room.
If you've got an extra day in town and we have some good weather, the Columbus Zoo is a great way to spend the day - especially if you've got kids with you. Rated one of the top zoos in the country, it offers a large variety of exhibits including a recently added sea lion exhibit. This is about a 25 minute drive from the hotel block but is absolutely worth it if you have the time!
Another great option if you've got an extra day in Columbus! More information can be found at the link below.
A great place for a beer or two! They also offer Duckpin Bowling and plenty of Pinball Machines. They also usually have a food truck or two. Keep in mind that children can participate in the fun until 8 PM! There are other locations in the suburbs of Columbus, depending on where you are staying. The one in Dublin has a 16-Bit attached and that location also allows kids until 8 PM and has a few great restaurants nearby!
If you google Zaftig, it tells you it's of Yiddish origin and it means "a full-bodied, or 'pleasantly plump' woman". In this case, you're getting a whole bunch of full-bodied beer instead! They specialize in stouts and porters, but they also have plenty of other types of beer, and they're all delicious. The bride and groom recommend their Hazy Miss Daisy Hazy IPA as their number one pick. This one is about 20 minutes from the hotel room block, but they also have a Brewpub that's a bit closer. Either one is definitely worth the trip!
If you're looking for some ice cream, the bride will tell you that this is the best ice cream in Columbus. Originating from Cincinnati, their small-batch French Pot method makes some of the creamiest ice cream there is! Their chocolate "chips" are huge (much more like chunks), and we definitely recommend getting a flavor with them. Our number one choice would probably be the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, but it's impossible to go wrong! This is the closest location to the room block, but there are plenty of locations throughout Columbus.
Now if you're asking the groom for the best ice cream in Columbus, he will tell you that Johnson's Salty Caramel Pretzel is awesome. It has everything you need in an ice cream flavor. Johnson's was actually founded here in Columbus in 1950. In addition to your more typical ice cream flavors, they have some additional fun flavors that you won't find at any ice cream parlor (like that Salty Caramel Pretzel).
