Woodstock, Tinker Street
Woodstock is just 15–20 minutes from Saugerties — and yes, it’s the town that inspired the legendary 1969 Woodstock Music Festival. It’s always been a hotspot for artists and musicians, and that creative, free-spirited vibe is still everywhere you look. Stroll down Tinker Street, the town’s quirky main drag, packed with funky shops, vintage gems, cozy cafés, and all the artsy charm Woodstock is famous for.
Saugerties Lighthouse
Historic lighthouse built in 1869 on the Hudson River, short walk, scenic views, and charming river-front vibe.
Kaaterskill Falls
A little further away from Saugerties (about 30 minutes) but our favorite trail in the area with a beautiful waterfall!
Downtown Saugerties
There's lots to do in downtown Saugerties, if you're looking to stay more local. Plenty of restaurants, cafes, and shops.
Kingston
About 18–20 minutes from Saugerties, this charming area is filled with great shops and restaurants — and it’s a special place where Dan spent part of his childhood. Perfect for strolling, grabbing a bite, and soaking in the local vibe.
