Question

How do I get to the venue if I'm driving (or getting a cab)?

Answer

If you are driving please enter "8940 Jones Mill Rd" in your GPS instead of "Woodend Sanctuary and Mansion” to be directed to the correct entrance. Once you have arrived, park in the lot, bypass the mansion, and head directly to the grove where the ceremony will be held. If you are getting a cab please get dropped-off directly at the grove.

Do I need to wear Indian clothes?

Answer

While Indian wear is certainly encouraged, you are more than welcome to wear Western clothes. Please see our "What to Wear” tab for more details on what kinds of Indian and Western clothing are appropriate.

Can I bring someone?

Answer

As much as we'd love everyone to bring a guest, because of the venue's strict capacity limitations, we're unable to accommodate guests not named on the invitation.

If I stay at the hotel, where should I park?

Answer

The hotel offers valet parking. However, we recommend parking a 30-second walk from the hotel at the Woodmont Corner public parking garage, which offers much cheaper parking (including free parking on Sundays).

Do you have a hotel block?

Answer

We do! There is a discounted rate for our guests at the Marriott Bethesda Downtown from Wednesday to Sunday; the rate is available until August 28, 2025. For more details, check out the "Hotel and Travel" tab!
