FAQs

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly request that all guests be seated promptly by 5:50 PM for the commencement of the ceremony. The doors will open at 5:30 PM, and we warmly encourage arrival around this time. To maintain the sanctity of the event, the gate will be closed a few minutes prior to the ceremony’s start, ensuring a seamless and uninterrupted experience for all.

Question

What is the attire for the wedding?

Answer

The ceremony and reception are semi-formal. Think cocktail dresses, jumpsuits, dress pants, suits, sport coats, button-downs, and ties (optional). While our wedding colors feature earth tones, green, taupe, and terracotta, guests are welcome to wear any colors they love, besides a white dress of course. Most importantly, wear something that makes you feel comfortable, confident, and ready to celebrate!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We are thrilled to celebrate this special day with those we hold dear, having carefully curated our guest list. Your RSVP card indicates how many seats we have reserved in your honor; due to limited availability, plus ones are reserved for the wedding party and close family and friends. We kindly request no unexpected guests, as this would affect our carefully planned seating and evening.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We have chosen to host an adult-only celebration, with all guests being 18 years of age or older, except in a few exceptional cases. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating with you.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

We are pleased to offer Uber vouchers for guests, whether you wish to enjoy the open bar or do not feel up to finding parking. We encourage everyone to drink responsibly and kindly ask that you refrain from drinking and driving.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Downtown Wilmington, North Carolina offers a variety of parking options, including free street parking on Sundays, as well as paid lots and garages. For those driving, we recommend arriving early to secure a convenient parking spot, as there are several wedding venues hosting events downtown in October. Please check the "Parking Info" tab for a map of paid lots and garages within a few blocks of the venue.

Question

WHAT IS THE EVENING DINNER SELECTION?

Answer

We are so excited to share a menu thoughtfully curated with 128 South Catering, filled with a little bit of Southern comfort, coastal freshness, and a few personal favorites that feel perfectly “us.” During cocktail hour, guests will enjoy a selection of passed hors d’oeuvres, including maple-glazed chicken and waffles, shrimp cocktail shooters, and mini harissa vegetable kabobs. We will also have stationed appetizers featuring an elegant spread of artisan cheeses with fresh fruit, breads, and crackers, along with BBQ pulled pork sliders and roasted chicken salad sliders. For dinner, the menu is a reflection of both Tyler and Rachel’s favorite flavors. Tyler’s choice brings the fun with a South of the Border Taco Bar, featuring beef tacos, fresh ceviche, elote Mexican street corn, guacamole, and pico de gallo. Rachel’s selection adds a fresh coastal twist with a Salmon Poke Bowl Bar, complete with seaweed salad and crispy wonton shrimp. And to end the evening on the sweetest note, Boombalatti’s, a beloved Wilmington ice cream shop, will be scooping ice cream on-site for our guests to enjoy.

Question

Is there a open bar?

Answer

Yes, we invite you to enjoy the beverages offered, but we kindly ask that you drink responsibly. The bar staff reserves the right to refuse service to and eject any guest exhibiting signs of over-consumption. A selection of beer, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic options will be available for your enjoyment.
