Is There a Dress Code?

We kindly request that all guests dress in cocktail attire. To complement our botanical garden setting, we welcome touches of fall-inspired colors and textures.

Will Your Wedding be Indoors or Outdoors?
Answer
Weather permitting, our ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outdoors. The reception will take place indoors.

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?
Answer
The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00 PM, so we kindly ask guests to arrive by 4:45 PM to get settled. There is complimentary parking onsite for those driving.

Is there a shuttle from the hotel to the venue and back?
Answer
Yes! A complimentary shuttle will pick up guests from The Watermark Hotel at 4:30 PM and drop everyone off at the venue in time for the 5:00 PM ceremony. The shuttle will return to the venue at 10:30 PM to take guests back to the hotel. They will make a second trip in the evening for any guests who are still onsite at the venue after the first ride. Guests not staying at the hotel are welcome to use the shuttle as well. There is parking available at the hotel for a daily fee of $25 at 1625 Capitol One Drive North, and the hotel is located right next to the McLean Metro Station. If you’re heading to the afterparty, you are also welcome to hop on the shuttle back to the hotel, even if you didn’t ride it earlier in the day.

Is there an afterparty?
Answer
Join us after the reception at Shipgarten, located just a 7-10 minute walk from The Watermark Hotel. For those who prefer to drive, Shipgarten has parking available for free at 1700 Old Meadow Road, McLean, VA 22102. The lot is about a 5-minute walk from Shipgarten, and there will be a shuttle bus running on a continuous loop between the lot and Shipgarten for those who drove and prefer not to walk. We’ll also be providing late-night snacks and drink tickets for alcohol, so come ready to keep the celebration going!

Is There a Hotel Block for the Wedding?
Answer
Yes! We reserved a block of rooms at The Watermark Hotel for our guests. The block officially closed on September 19, but there should still be rooms available at the hotel’s standard rate. To book, please visit The Watermark Hotel’s website or call the hotel directly.
