The temperature in Cape May in May averages around 52 degrees as a low and 68 degrees as a high. There is a chance it could rain during our wedding weekend, an umbrella or rain coat could be a good item to pack. The water temperature in Cape May will likely be too cold to swim but it can't hurt to bring a swim suit!
There is free unmetered parking on both sides of the street directly in front of Peter Shields Inn where our reception will be held at (1301 Beach Ave, Cape May, NJ 08204). There is also parking on the blocks behind the inn, as well as, metered parking on Trenton Ave active from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Please do not park in the inn parking spots.
Due to limited space at our ceremony and reception dinner, we’re unfortunately unable to accommodate additional guests or plus-ones at those specific events. However, we’d love for your significant others or friends to join the weekend festivities outside of the main events—on the beach, playing mini golf, or eating ice cream! Thank you for understanding and for being part of our celebration!
The ceremony and reception are in walking distance of the hotels. Most activities in Cape May will be within walking distance of your hotel. If you wish to explore more of Cape May, there are bikes for rent at Shields Bike Rentals ((609) 898-1818) located at 11 Gurney St, Cape May, NJ 08204. Our favorite Cape May tradition is riding bikes to the Cape May lighthouse, where Zander proposed!
