Turner and I met in the seventh grade after I had just moved to Gulf Shores. He asked me out at the Gulf Shores Rec Center ( how middle school ) and we have been together ever since. Year after year, we have fallen for each other even more and cannot wait to finally be Mr. and Mrs. Shirley!

After almost eight years of being together Turner and I decided it was finally time to really start talking about getting married. We talked a lot about it, looked at rings, and decided we were in no hurry because we still had a year and a half of school left. However, Turner loves surprising me, so during Thanksgiving break he asked my parents permission and started planning the proposal. He asked our friend, Jaylee, if she would ask us to do a couples shoot on the beach. This would have been our second photoshoot with her, so I didn't think anything of it. Fast forward to January 3rd at the Beach Club down Fort Morgan. The weather that day was foggy and looked like a storm was coming, but Jaylee said we could try until we got rained on. We walked over to the sand dunes and Jaylee told Turner to sit for a pose. He then reached his hand back to move the ring box to the side and I asked "Do you still have your keys in your pocket?!" He looked at Jaylee and looked at me and thought, "Well I guess we're doing this now!" Then he pulled out the ring box and took my hand and said the sweetest words ever (that I can barely remember because I blacked out from being so surprised). After I calmed down, we continued with our photoshoot. As I said Turner loves surprises, so of course after the photoshoot there was more. He had rented one of the condo units for the night and decorated it with rose petals and got all of my favorite foods. We ended the day by sitting on the couch and watching "The Proposal". It was all so unexpected, but I wouldn't of had it any other way!
