Matthew & I went to Northview High School together, I knew who he was; the cool guy who was a senior and raced 4-wheelers. However, it wasn't until after I graduated high school and went off to my first semester at Alabama that we actually met and spoke for the first time. I was home for a weekend and a friend and I were cruising through Atmore and decided to stop at the Redbox to pick up a movie. Not long after we pulled up and were scrolling through the movies, here comes one of my classmates & great friend Samuel with a tall lanky fellow in the passenger seat; Matthew. I still remember Matthew leaning out the window and looking straight at me and saying, "Hey, y'all wanna come watch a movie with us?" I'll never forget my response, "No, I don't know you that well." We drove away and all I could think about was how cute he was, but how weird that he doesn't know me and wanted me to come watch a movie with him. Then not long after I got a friend request on Facebook. After many weeks of him pursuing me, liking all my Facebook pictures, messaging me, and texting, he asked me out on our first date, which how fitting, it was to the movies. He finally got me to watch a movie with him. The rest is history, I fell for him instantly, his charm and sweet nature still gets me to this day. I still can't believe almost 6 years later, that awkward encounter at the Redbox turned into me marrying my best friend.
