We love to travel so it was fitting that Bryan proposed November 30 in NYC on our way to Lisbon for a trip. While there, we joked about getting married in Portugal. After returning home, we realized how much we fell in love with the country and wanted those closest to us to share this experience with us. We started reaching out to venues and vendors and everything quickly came together!
We recommend booking your flights as soon as possible as the prices are expected to rise the closer we get to the wedding date. In November the average prices are around $600 roundtrip with flights leaving on weekdays being more affordable.
November weather in Portugal ranges between 50-68 degrees. Since Sintra is located in the mountains, it is usually 5 degrees cooler with a slight breeze. Make sure you bring a cardigan for the nighttime cool air. The wedding ceremony will be held outside. Unfortunately November is one of Portugal's wettest months, so rain is to be expected at some point throughout your stay. Please remember a raincoat or umbrella for your outdoor activities.
Yes! Our villa has plenty of parking space available if you choose to bring a rental car to the events. Please keep in mind the roads in Sintra are curvy and hilly. Uber is another option, but can sometimes be less reliable at night. If choosing to Uber to our wedding events, we highly recommend using the "Reserve a Ride" feature to ensure a timely pickup.
RSVP instructions will be on our wedding invitations which will be sent at a later date.
Here are some extra items you should be sure to pack for your trip overseas: 1. A passport with at least 6 months of validity 2. A raincoat or umbrella 3. A European outlet adapter
