Things To Do

Bald Hill/Fitton Green Hikes

Bald Hill/Fitton Green Hikes

These are two quintessential trail networks in the Corvallis area. The Cardwell Hill Rd. takes you on a nostalgic pilgrimage to where we first met (approximate location: https://maps.app.goo.gl/8fK5QRjQppXVFgNDA). The network of trails at Fitton Green has several options. You can stay high get great views of the Valley or wind down to the Marys River, which is perfect for a swim on a hot summer day. We recommend parking at the Cardwell Hill trailhead and exploring from there.

Visit Newport Oregon

Newport is about a 45 minute drive from Corvallis. If you go, you must eat at the south beach fish market (https://www.southbeachfishmarket.com/)!

Mountain Bike at Alsea Falls

Mountain Bike at Alsea Falls

We LOVE this place. For our friends who will have access to bikes that weekend or can swing renting and spending a day out at Alsea Falls, it's worth the drive. The trail network is about 50 minutes from Corvallis. There is also a great waterfall hike.

Run in the MacDonald-Dunn Research Forest

We recommend parking at the Lewisburg Saddle: https://maps.app.goo.gl/mtYdHfbAybdqraNBA From there you can head either direction off the road.
