FAQs

Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The wedding is a semi formal event, so that means either a suit and tie or cocktail dresses. We prefer darker colored suits (black, navy, etc) for our pictures and for the dresses obviously nothing neon. (And this should go without saying but absolutely no white!

Question

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

For our out of town guests, the weather in NY can be a fickle beast! But generally speaking in late summer towards the beginning of fall we're looking at temperatures in the high 70s to low 80s, but that could change the closer we get to the event! Pay close attention to the weather the week before the big day and adjust your attire as necessary

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Question

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

We've hired a fabulous photographer and videographer, and want to make sure he has ample room to do his job. That being said, while you are more than welcome to take pictures during the reception, we ask that you make sure you're not impeding on his work during the important moments (first dance, cake cutting, parent dances, etc). And absolutely no phones during the ceremony will be allowed, we want you to be in the moment with us! As far as posting on social media you again are more than welcome but we ask that you refrain of posting images of the important moments before we have a chance to do so. Again that includes the entrance, first dance, cake cutting, parent dances, etc.

Question

What should I do if I have a question not listed here?

Answer

If you don't see your question listed here, feel free to reach out to me or Nick at any time, we'll be happy to clarify for you!

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

Due to restrictions at the venue as well as budget, at this time only the people listed on your invitation will be allowed to attend the event. If we were able to accomadate a plus one for you, it will be listed in the # of seats reserved on your RSVP card.
