an evening to remember

Brody and Caitlyn's story begins some time before they ever started dating—two years, to be exact. In the summer of 2014, the two teenagers met, hit it off, and exchanged a few great conversations. Brody was all in; however, Caitlyn was not ready for what could have been. She "ghosted" him with no explanation, avoiding his texts and calls, and eventually, their paths diverged. They both moved on. Fast forward two years. They crossed paths again—this time forced to accompany one another in freshman biology class—and, well, the rest was history. It was like no time had passed at all. The chemistry was still there, and after catching up, Caitlyn finally apologized to Brody. They laughed about the past, reconnected over shared memories, and learned a lot about each other in the process. The spark was undeniable, but this time, they were both ready. They spent the next seven years building something stronger, deeper, and more meaningful than they could have imagined. What started out as a missed connection turned into something real—and they couldn’t be more grateful for the twists and turns that led them to where they are today. -- Our journey is proof that sometimes, the best things take time.
