In light of the COVID-19, we have decided to postpone the wedding (again) to November 13th, 2021. We want to be able to celebrate with all of you in a way that you are comfortable, and we cannot ensure that as of now. We are of course pretty darn bummed out, but also are far more concerned about the health and wellbeing of our family and friends. We feel postponing is in the best interest of everyone. We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you and we look very, very, very forward to celebrating with you on November 13th! If you have booked a hotel room under the block of rooms, please call the hotel and they will adjust your reservation. If you have yet to book your hotel room, mention the Stifter-Hennen/Haugen part to receive the discount. You can find their information under to Accommodations tab. All of our previous plans will be same, just a few months later. Thank you so much for all of your love, support and understanding. We are so blessed to you have you in our lives! We will see you in a few more months! Cait & Tony
We met at Bonfire on Grand - I was a server and he was a bartender at the time. After a while, I asked our manager for his number and I roped him in by talking about Sons of Anarchy and suggesting we watch the finale together. Our first day was spent on the couch watching the finale and then we grabbed some lunch at Red Cow. The rest, as they say, is history!
The proposal was absolutely perfect because we spent the day doing what we love most: traveling, eating good food, drinking good drinks, and going to a Dave concert. A few weeks prior Tony surprised me on a trip to Los Angeles for a Dave concert and there was no proposal, so when we went to D.C. I didn't even consider that it would happen. We spent the day walking around to the usual tourist spots, and headed toward the National Tree. Tony had a woman take a picture of us in front of the tree and then proceeded to get down on one knee and ask me to marry him. We had a delicious lunch, super yummy cocktails and ended the night with Dave.
