The Cranbrook House and Gardens is a beautiful place to visit in June and is free to the public. Enjoy walking through the fountains and flowers planted around metro Detroit's oldest surviving historic manor and surrounding nature trails. You can also walk around the lake and check out the Japanese gardens. We highly recommend you visit while you are here!
If you are interested in the downtown Detroit area attractions while you are here, the Henry Ford Museum is a great place to check out some really cool history. Explore vintage planes, trains, and automobiles throughout the museum. You can even find the car John F Kennedy was assassinated in, or the bus Rosa Parks was riding. Our favorite part of the museum is eating at the 1950's style diner in the middle of the surrounding exhibits.
Great Lakes Crossing is an enormous outlet mall that not only has hundreds of popular outlet stores, but also has a variety of entertainment as well. There is a movie theater, arcade, aquarium, and much more located inside this mall. You can also dine at some cool restaurants including the Rain Forest Cafe or the Miyako Japanese Steak house which is a hibachi style grill where your chef will cook in front of you!
