Bride
Caitlin grew up in Durham, NC and attended Duke University. For the past 3 years (plus 2 years of interning and working remotely) she's worked with Chong + Koster as a digital strategist.
Groom
Greg grew up in Randolph, Maine and went to Quinnipiac University in Connecticut to study journalism. He's worked at CNN for 9 years.
Mother of the Bride
Kathy is the Director of College Counseling at Durham Academy, where Caitlin and Shannon attended school their entire lives. She's an avid fan of any Duke sports team, along with the Boston Red Sox.
Mother of the Groom
Laurie teaches first grade at Laura E. Richards Elementary School in Gardiner, Maine. She's a fan of all New England sports teams, but is the biggest cheerleader of all for her son, Greg.
Father of the Bride
Larry is the Vice President of Data Strategy & Architecture at BB&T, and does data work for the Duke Athletics Dept. He is also the Assistant Coach for the Durham Academy Varsity Baseball team.
Father of the Groom
Howard works for the Maine State Dept of Administrative & Financial Services as a Technology Business Consultant. He and his wife Tina also renovate houses during their weekends and spare time.
Maid of Honor
Caitlin's sister, partner in crime, and best friend in the whole world. Shannon played soccer at NC State University. She still lives in Raleigh and is currently attending the Watts School of Nursing.
Best Man
Tim and Greg met in their early days at CNN and remained close even as Tim went to grad school at Syracuse and lived in Europe for a year.
Bridesmaid
Abby came to Durham Academy from Nashville, TN starting her junior year and quickly fell in with Caitlin, Tatum, and Michelle, and now we all forget she wasn't there forever. She went to Barnard for undergrad, and is currently working toward a graduate degree at Columbia. She'll be moving to London next year to continue her studies.
Groomsman
Greg and Brendan met at CNN around 2009. They've stayed friends through the years as people came and went from CNN (including Brendan, who is now with Bloomberg). Most of the time, when they are hanging out we are eating food. One time that was in New Orleans during Jazz Fest, other times it was crabs or crawfish at Brendan's house.
Bridesmaid
Caitlin and Alix met on Day 1 at Duke and have been friends ever since! They lived together, traveled together, and even chose the same, obscure major. Alix is living in Miami and attending Miami University Medical School. She'll graduate with an MD/MPH and quickly become our most educated friend (she also has a masters in Physiology).
Groomsman
Danny and Greg forged their friend while living together in DC. They quickly bonded over a love of ales, all things New England, and disagreeing with everything Tommy Park had to say. They are true mates and Danny is honored to be a part of Caitlin and Greg's wedding.
Bridesmaid
Katie and Caitlin met during Freshman year at Duke and have been friends ever since! Although they never actually lived together, they lived next door or were de facto roommates throughout their time at Duke. Katie currently lives and works in Los Angeles.
Groomsman
Another former resident of the 919, JC and Greg met just a few years ago, but became fast friends. Once a Capitol Hill staffer, JC currently works in politics.
Bridesmaid
Caitlin and Michelle met in Ms. Bryan's cooking classes in 4th grade. For the uninitiated, she was a Miss America contestant turned cooking and baking instructor. We mostly threw flour at each other and terrorized her neighbor's peacocks. They've remained close even though they went to rival schools (Caitlin to Duke and Michelle to UNC).
Groomsman
Tommy and Greg met when Greg was looking for a place to live, and he found the 919 on Craigslist. That townhouse in Navy Yard has sparked many a friendship that has lasted even as guys move in and out. Tommy played soccer at Mary Washington and is currently the director of the Alexandria Soccer Association.
Bridesmaid
Caitlin and Tatum met in preschool at Durham Academy, but really cemented their friendship in middle school. Tatum went to Davidson College and, after two years working in Warrenton, NC with Teach for America, is now working in the Davidson Development office.
