A Day To Remember

The meeting of a lifetime first began when Caitlin and I (Zachary) met at work. Little did we know our fates would be intertwined through our limited interactions. At the time, Caitlin was a Case Manager and I, a therapist would have brief discussions surrounding how we can best serve our clientele. Then, one day Caitlin left the company to venture into private practice and later work at a Behavioral Health Hospital. Caitlin seeking the adventure of a lifetime reached out and after carefully planning the first date of Pool, Good Food, and Bowling captured the moment for a second date. Thankfully, one did not plan a coffee date, or a second date may not have occurred. Caitlin and I grew in connection over that first date as we had connections in Florida, in the same city of Palm Harbor no doubt. Our lives would continue to capture the moments of bonding, growing in faith and learning how to meet each other's need through love, encouragement, understanding and taking the leap of faith into marriage.

In planning a proposal, I (Zachary) sought the guidance from my parents on creative/fun ways to ask for Caitlin's hand in holy matrimonial marriage. We both agreed to host it at a Red Wings Game where her favorite team would play as Caitlin has been a Red Wing's fan since her youth full of good memories visiting the arena with her parents. After making contact with Red Wings, we were able to host the proposal on the big screen. My family was in town for the game to spend time together. Proposal said, "Caitlin, life's brighter with you. Let's seal it at a Wings game with a winning goal and your hand. Will you Marry Me?" Thankfully, two truth statements and no lie was in this event as the Red Wings won the game and better yet, I scored the winning hand of an amazing, loving, and kind-hearted woman who loves me without a doubt in mind.
