Question

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

For convenience, the ceremony and reception will take place at the same location. 20765 E Gold Rush Road Gold Canyon/Superior, AZ 85118 Please note that Apple Maps will state the address is in Superior; others will show Gold Canyon.

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

20765 E Gold Rush Rd is the address for all three of Cloth & Flame’s sites out there. Ours is the first you will arrive to (see picture!). - After turning left onto Peralta Rd, you will drive through a residential neighborhood. The road will become dirt shortly after passing the elementary school. It’s smooth and graded, but just watch for any sharp rocks and washboards. - Follow Peralta Rd approximately 5 1/2 miles back (towards hiking trails). - When the road forks, stay to the RIGHT. Now you are on E Gold Rush Rd. - Follow this for about a half mile, until you see a green ramada on your left. This is where our wedding is. There will be parking on the right hand side. Parking attendants will be available to help direct you. - If you pass through a green gate, you’ve gone too far.

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

There will be a parking attendant to help direct you to where to park at the location.

Will transportation be available from the resort?

Answer

Yes. A shuttle to the ceremony site will pickup from the Gold Canyon Golf Resort at 3:00pm. Please contact Caitlin directly to reserve your spot. Spaces are limited.

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Ladies should wear cocktail dresses, and the gentlemen should wear a suit and tie or a sports coat. Because it is an outdoor wedding, ladies should also consider wedges, flats, sandals, or pumps with a thicker heel.

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

The best time to visit Phoenix and its surrounding cities is November through April. In most years, November averages a daily maximum temperature that's between 73 and 80°F. The minimum temperature usually falls between 50 and 54 °F. In rare years, November has a day when the temperature climbs above 90 °F.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our wedding will be outside, so please make sure you are dressed comfortably. The Arizona sun can be strong, so it is a good idea to apply sunscreen for your protection. Arizona is blessed with a year-round growing season, which means that there are always some plants producing pollen. If you are sensitive to dust or pollen, consider OTC allergy medications, such as Zyrtec or Claritin.

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the wedding party will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Guests can head straight to the reception area where we will be serving appetizers and beverages.

Does your wedding have a theme?

Answer

Although our wedding does not have a particular theme established, our decor will be in appreciation of the desert we live in and love. Caitlin likes to think, boho-chic!

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend that you arrive a half hour before the start of the ceremony, to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled!

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Our only request is that photography is paused during our ceremony. We’ve asked a professional photographer to capture this special moment so that you can sit back, relax and enjoy it with us. We want to see your lovely faces and happy smiles! Our beautiful images will be available after the wedding. We encourage guests to post pictures of our reception on their social media channels. Please tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #countdowntocruz so we can keep track of all of your pictures!

Will food and drinks be served at the reception? What kind of food?

Answer

Of course! We are excited to provide you with a delicious four-course meal. Appetizers will be served after our ceremony for cocktail hour. Both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be available. Stay tuned for special drinks designed by Caitlin, Zac and our mixologist!

Will there be any vegan/vegetarian/gluten free/special diet options?

Answer

Although we do our best to live a vegan lifestyle, we understand that many of our guests do not! The reception will have food items containing meat and other animal products. Please specify any food allergies or diet restrictions within your RSVP, or reach out to us directly, so that we can do our best to accommodate you.
