Our Story

Gone Fishing

It was a hot summer day when he walked into Sportsmans Warehouse, where she worked at the time. While he waited for his fishing gear, they started visiting about life. She was attracted to his charm, he was attracted to her discount.. just kidding! After visiting, she couldn't stop thinking about him and soon found him on Facebook. (Yes, she stalked him!) After a few exchanged messages, they decided to go out for a few drinks. It was her 21st birthday, and first craft beer. On the way home, she sang Bohemian Rhapsody (very loudly) and he sang along too. Just when she thought she scared him away, he asked her out to Chick-fil-A the very next day! Now, two degrees, one house and 4, (Yes, you read that right) very spoiled dogs later, they live happily in Las Cruces, NM. With all of the love and support from their families and friends, they look forward to starting this next chapter as husband and wife.

The Proposal

October 26, 2019

She wasn't very happy.. He told her they were going to Ruidoso, NM to play golf at Inn of the Mountain Gods for a friend's birthday. The tee time was at 9:30 a.m., meaning they had to leave the house by 7:00 a.m. on a Saturday. When they arrived at the golf course, it was cold and windy. She wasn't excited about it but in his words, "I told you I would take you to the mountains!" After the round had finished, they were going to eat at one of the restaurants at the Inn. They walked along the side of the lake, where he was looking for the right place to pop the question. He pulled her off the walking path and that is when he got down on one knee. Completely surprised, she said yes!
