How we met

Sometimes love begins in the simplest moments, and for us, it all started in math class. I was in grade 10, he was in grade 11, and I decided to move seats one day. I told myself it was because I knew the person he was sitting with… but the truth is, I thought he was cute. From that day on, something just clicked. We started talking between lessons, sharing smiles and jokes, and before long, math class became the best part of my day. When summer came, life carried us in different directions, and we didn’t stay in touch, though I’ll never forget the night I saw him at the movies when out with my mom and maid of honour Taylor. Then, at the start of the next semester, out of the blue, he messaged me to say we had another class together, which we did not, but I suggested he join a different class. And he did. From that moment on, we became inseparable. What started as a seat change in a high school classroom grew into something far bigger than either of us could have imagined. We’ve grown up together from teenagers passing notes and walking through school hallways, to adults building a life side by side. We’ve weathered long distance through university, celebrated milestones, and created countless memories all rooted in that simple beginning. Looking back now, it’s incredible to think that a decision to move one seat closer would lead us here to a lifetime of love, laughter, and forever.
