We were kicking off summer with a trip to our favorite vacation spot, Ogunquit, Maine. We arrived bright and early and started our day drinking coffee by the beach. After, Sam suggested we take a stroll. The beach was empty besides a few other walkers and surfers. Caitlin loves the boardwalk over the dunes between the Ogunquit River and the ocean. At the top of the platform Sam suggested Caitlin take a panoramic photo of both the ocean and the river. A portion of the panno photo is included below. It was just about at that point in taking the photo she turned around and said “HUH”?! After the shock of seeing Sam on one knee wore off she said YES! Coincidentally, Oquinquit was hosting a festival that day and we ended our night with a fireworks display over the beach.
