We suggest flying into either Shannon or Dublin. Flying into Shannon Airport is the easiest option for guests. Once you land, it's around a 20 minute drive to the Castle or Inn. There are direct flights from the East Coast. Please check the Shannon Airport Website for more information about transportation services from the airport to Dromoland. We will likely fly into Dublin (a 2.5 hour drive from Dromoland) and explore the city before arriving at the castle. Currently US Citizens only require a passport to travel to Ireland. That said anyone planning to visit Northern Ireland will need to apply for an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA). Dromoland Castle Hotel

We have a room block at Dromoland Castle where our wedding reception and other wedding events will be held. Dromoland Castle is a 5 star hotel that has been welcoming guests since the 16th century! To book a room at the Castle please call 0035361700688 or email reservations@dromoland.ie & mention the Holmes/McGurn/Delaney (HMD) wedding as the reference. If guests book online, they will not be attached to the wedding block and will not receive the wedding rate or room type category. Castle Rates: Deluxe rooms: €445.00 per night for a deluxe room (subject to availability). This rate is for double adult occupancy and can also accommodate two children under 12. A supplement of €120 per room per night applies for triple occupancy (available only in Deluxe/ subject to availability). The above rates include full Irish breakfast, service charge & taxes. Inn at Dromoland: If you are looking for a different option, the Inn at Dromoland (on the property of the castle) also offers rooms and the current rate is €179 for Bed and Breakfast per night, for two adults. The Inn is approximately half a mile from the Castle and they do provide transportation to the Castle.
